A digital single-lens reflex camera includes a first mirror for reflecting part of a light beam coming from a subject through a photographing optical system and transmitting the remaining light beam. The reflected light beam is used for detecting the focus state of an imaging light beam, and the transmitted light beam is used for performing live view display. For example, the first mirror can be configured as a movable mirror in the digital single-lens reflex camera. This enables continuous live view display using the transmitted light beam on condition that the movable mirror is down while detecting the focus state using the reflected light beam. In addition, phase-contrast AF can be adopted for detecting the focus state.

An in-finder indicator for a single-lens reflex camera comprises an eyepiece lens, a reflecting mirror for reflecting a beam of light from a subject, a screen having a screen surface which is subjected to surface treatment to form prisms for presenting a superimposed indication and which forms an image of the subject based on the light beam reflected by the reflecting mirror, a dach mirror having a pair of mirror surfaces for reflecting the light beam from the screen, a reflecting surface for reflecting the light beam reflected by the dach mirror surfaces and introducing the light beam to the eyepiece lens, and an illumination member disposed in a laterally-offset space between the dach mirror surfaces and the screen and introducing an illumination beam to enter the screen surface laterally of the image formed on the screen surface.

In discharge recovery processing, a continuous sheetis moved from a facing position facing a head portionto a first position (in the down direction in the drawing) as an evacuating position in the discharge recovery processing, thereafter, a discharge recovery processing unitin the standby mode at a second position (in the up direction in the drawing) different from the facing position is moved to the facing position, and the discharge recovery processing is performed. In the discharge recovery processing, the head unitis not moved and therefore the preferable positional reproducibility is obtained after ending the discharge recovery processing.

Image forming apparatus

A printer system includes a host computer, K, C, M, and Y printer elements for four colors, a paper feeding section, and a head cleaning section. The printer elements each include a head controller and print head groups. The head controllers are connected to the host computer via SCSI interfaces in a daisy chain. When printing, the host computer transfers information, such as an image-printing region, image-printing data, to the head controllers via the SCSI interfaces, thereby executing image printing. The printer system can control a large number of print heads with a simple configuration and also can perform high-accuracy image printing.

A multiple display apparatus for displaying an image with projection of a plurality of images from a plurality of image projecting means onto a screen is disclosed. The plurality of image projecting means are disposed such that their images are projected substantially from one point onto the screen . Thus it is possible to realize superior display quality without pronounced display in any overlap part.

An image projection system includes projection means for projecting an image on a transmission type screen from a rear surface side of the screen, standard image information generating means for generating standard image information of a standard image, image capturing means for capturing an image on the rear surface of the screen from an inside of a casing in which the projection means is housed, the image capturing means capturing the standard image projected onto the screen from the projection means, which receives the standard image information from the standard image information generating means, removing means for removing influences of external light from the standard image projected from the projection means onto the screen, correction value computing means for computing a correction value on the basis of image information of the standard image from which the influences of the external light are removed by the removing means, correction value storage means for storing the correction value information obtained by the correction value computing means, and correction means for correcting image information from a picture signal source by using the correction value information stored in the correction value storage means, and supplying the corrected image information to the projection means.
