This gear wheel mechanism includes a rotator, a first gear wheel, a second gear wheel, and a reinforcement member. The rotator is configured to be rotatable about a rotation shaft and has an elliptical shape as viewed in an axis direction of the rotation shaft. The first gear wheel includes a first base portion including a first outer circumferential surface and a first inner circumferential surface and having a hollow cylindrical shape configured to be deformable by the rotator being inserted in the axis direction of the rotation shaft and external teeth formed in the outer circumferential surface. The second gear wheel includes a second base portion including a second outer circumferential surface and a second inner circumferential surface and having a hollow cylindrical shape disposed to cover the external teeth and internal teeth which are formed at positions facing the external teeth of the second inner circumferential surface, with which the external teeth are partially engaged in accordance with deformation of the first base portion by rotation of the rotator. The reinforcement member is disposed in contact with a region of the second outer circumferential surface corresponding to a region in which the internal teeth of the second inner circumferential surface are formed.

The present invention provides a working machine having an internal combustion engine. The working machine includes a single operation unit comprised of a rotatable body adapted to be selectively rotated between an engine-stop position, engine-start position and choke-activation position, a valve to be rotated about an rotation shaft, an arm attached to the rotation shaft and a link member adapted to be moved in its longitudinal direction to transmit the movement of the rotatable body to the arm. The link member has a distal end coupled with the arm and a proximal end coupled with the rotatable body, and extends between the distal and proximal ends. The rotatable body is formed with an elongated slot receiving the proximal end therein. When the rotatable body is rotated from the engine-stop position to the engine-start position, the proximal end is allowed to displace relative to the rotatable body along the elongated slot without causing any movement of the link member in the longitudinal direction. When the rotatable body is rotated from the engine-start position to the choke-activation position, the proximal end is restricted in its displacement along the elongated slot so that the link member is moved in the longitudinal direction to transmit the movement of the rotatable body to the arm.

A muffler for an internal combustion engine is disclosed which is capable of effectively enhancing its muffling effect without any substantial increase in size, weight or manufacturing cost. The exhaust gas ejected from an exhaust port of the internal combustion engine is divided in the muffler into at least two flows. The present invention relates to a chain saw having a chain bar portion extending forwardly from a main body. An engine intake control mechanism has a throttle valve that can be rotated to a cold-starting position in response to the closing movement of a choke valve and, even if the throttle valve is opened beyond the cold-starting position, the choke valve is retained at the cold-starting position. Only when the throttle valve is subsequently actuated to return to its original closed position is the choke valve automatically returned to its original opened position. The engine intake control mechanism is especially useful in top handle type portable power working machines, which are subject to undesirable movements of the throttle control lever on the top handle when the engine is being started.
