An electrical receptacle connector includes a mount member, an insulated housing, first receptacle terminals, second receptacle terminals, and a shielding plate. The insulated housing is molded with the mount member and forms a tongue portion. Each of the first receptacle terminals includes a first flat contact portion and a first tail portion. The first flat contact portion is on a lower surface of the tongue portion, and front ends of the first flat contact portions are held in the tongue portion. Each of the second receptacle terminals includes a second flat contact portion and a second tail portion. The second flat contact portions are on an upper surface of the tongue portion, and front ends of the second flat contact portions are held in the tongue portion. The shielding plate is on the tongue portion and between the first receptacle terminals and the second receptacle terminals.

Electrical receptacle connector with improved durability and shielding performance

An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing, upper-row receptacle terminals, and lower-row receptacle terminals. The insulated housing is in the receptacle cavity of the metallic shell. The receptacle terminals are held in the base portion and the tongue portion. The tail portions of the power terminals and the tail portions of the ground terminals have three bent portions, i.e., the first bent portion, the second bent portion, and the third bent portion. The bent portions allow the terminals to have different and non-parallel delivering paths for electromagnetic waves, so that the signals do not interfere with each other easily.

Electrical receptacle connector

An electrical receptacle connector includes a metallic shell, an insulated housing received in the metallic shell, receptacle terminals, and a grounding plate. The receptacle terminals and the grounding plate are at the insulated housing. The insulated housing includes a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The grounding plate includes a plate body, extension arms, and contact regions. The front of the plate body is near to a front lateral surface of the tongue portion, and the rear of the plate body is extending to the base portion. The plate body is between the receptacle terminals. The extension arms are extending from the plate body. The contact regions are formed on the extension arms and in contact with an inner wall of the shell body. Accordingly, the grounding plate is in contact with the metallic shell for providing grounding and reducing the electromagnetic interference.

Electrical receptacle connector for providing grounding and reducing electromagnetic interference

An electrical receptacle connector includes an insulating housing, receptacle terminals, and a shield shell covering the insulating housing. The receptacle terminals, arranged in a row and disposed on the insulating housing, sequentially include a first ground terminal, a first power terminal, two first differential signal terminals, a second power terminal, and a second ground terminal. The electrical receptacle connector is capable of receiving an electrical plug connector to be inserted therein in either upside-up or upside-down directions. The electrical plug connector includes upper-row plug terminals and lower-row plug terminals arranged in 2-fold rotational symmetry. Therefore, the electrical receptacle connector using the single-row receptacle terminals and the electrical plug connector using the corresponding double-row plug terminals compose a new type of USB Type-C connectors.

A plug connector includes a plug shell, a housing base and a plug contact. The housing base is combined with the plug shell and includes a main base and a tongue structure. The tongue structure extends from the main base and has a first face and a second face opposite to the first face. The plug contact includes a main body, a foot portion, a first end portion and a second end portion. The main body is mounted in the main base. The foot portion extends from the main body and stretches out of the main base. The first end portion is resiliently connected to the main body and protrudes out of the tongue structure via the first face. The second end portion corresponding to the first end portion is resiliently connected to the main body and protrudes out of the tongue structure via the second face.

Plug connector with capability of dual mating orientation

A port connector includes a port shell disposed inside the port shell, a housing base and a port contact set. The housing base includes a main base and a tongue structure. The tongue structure extends from the main base and has a first face and a second face opposite to the first face. The port contact set is mounted with the housing base. At least one port contact of the port contact set includes a main body installed inside the main base, a foot portion, a first end portion and a second end portion. The foot portion extends from the main body and stretches out of the main base. The first end portion protrudes from the main body and is exposed from the first face. The second end portion corresponding to the first end portion protrudes from the main body and is exposed from the second face.

Port connector with capability of dual mating orientation

An interference proof electrical receptacle connector has an insulative housing, a mounting bracket, a first terminal set, a second terminal set, a shell and a metal cover. The mounting bracket is mounted on the insulative housing. The first terminal set is mounted on the mounting bracket. The second terminal set is mounted on the insulative housing. The shell is mounted on the insulative housing and the mounting bracket and has a cavity. The metal cover is mounted securely on the shell and has a cover body and multiple soldering feet. The cover body is mounted securely on a top surface of the shell. The soldering feet are formed on and protrude downward from the cover body. The metal cover enhances the structural strength of the shell to improve the durability of repeated engagement and disengagement of the interference proof electrical receptacle connector.

Interference proof electrical receptacle connector

An electric connector includes an insulation body, a shielding shell, first and second conductive terminals, and an organizer. The insulation body has a base portion and a tongue portion extended horizontally forward from the base portion. The shielding shell encloses the insulation body. Each first or second conductive terminal has a retaining section fixedly located in the insulation body, a contact section extended forward from the retaining section and located on the tongue portion, and a soldering section bent upward from the retaining section and extended outside the base portion. The organizer located on the base portion has an elongate slot and apertures that penetrate the base portion. The elongate slot allows the soldering sections of the first conductive terminals to pass through and anchor therein. Each aperture allows the soldering section of each second conductive terminal to pass through and anchor therein.

Electric connector

A receptacle connector, for being inserted by a plug connector and contacted with a casing of the plug connector, includes a housing, a plurality of elastic pieces and a plurality of auxiliary fastening members. The housing includes a plurality of first surfaces and a plurality of second surfaces. The second surfaces are connected to two ends of the first surfaces so as to form an inserting window. The elastic pieces are disposed on the first surfaces. The auxiliary fastening members are disposed on the first surfaces. Each auxiliary fastening member includes a contacting portion formed extendedly at an inner side of the inserting window. When the contacting portions connected with the casing, the contact area between the casing and the auxiliary fastening members can be increased by the contacting portions so as to reduce the contact impedance or resistance between the plug connector and the receptacle connector.

Receptacle connector

Electrical connector includes an insulative body, first and second terminals, shielding housing, and adhesive. The insulative body has a tongue piece and a base having first and second positioning grooves. Each of the first terminals has a first positioning part received in the insulative body, a first electrical contact part exposed from the tongue piece, and a first bonding part accommodated in a corresponding one of the first positioning grooves and protruding from the base. Each of the second terminals has a second positioning part received in the base, a second electrical contact part exposed from the tongue piece, and a second bonding part accommodated in a corresponding one of the second positioning grooves and protruding from the base. Adhesive is injected into the first and second positioning grooves to encapsulate the first bonding parts in the first positioning grooves and the second bonding parts in the second positioning grooves.

Electrical connector

A connector socket has an insulation body having thereon multiple terminals, a metal body having a receiving hole defined to receive therein the insulation body, spring clips formed on side faces thereof and having protrusions formed on the spring clips for extension and accommodation in the windows of the connector plug so as to enhance engagement with the connector plug and a protection casing for receiving therein the metal body and the insulation body to block electromagnetic interference to/from the terminals.

Interference free connector socket

A connector assembly has a plug and socket; the plug includes an insulative body, at least one first power contact, at least one second power contact and a metal shield. The insulative body has a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The tongue portion includes a plurality of power contact grooves and penetrates through the base portion, and at least one first convex portion defined in a periphery of the tongue portion. The first power contact and the second power contact are respectively formed on the power contact grooves of the insulative body for connection to a power source in a socket of host device. The metal shield encloses the tongue portion of the insulative body to cover the tongue portion. Consequently, the charging speed can be increased, reducing charging time.
