A modified conjugated diene rubber is disclosed. A method for producing the modified conjugated diene rubber includes providing an alkali metal ion-containing conjugated diene rubber; and reacting the alkali metal ion-containing conjugated diene rubber with an alkoxysilane to generate the modified conjugated diene rubber, the alkoxysilane being of the structural formula: wherein R, R, Rare each independently selected from a group consisting of oxygen-containing C-Cgroup and nitrogen-containing C-Cgroup, the oxygen-containing C-Cgroup has a carbon atom directly connected to oxygen atom of the alkoxysilane, the nitrogen-containing C-Cgroup has a nitrogen atom directly connected to oxygen atom of the alkoxysilane, and Ris selected from a group consisting of C-Cof alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, and alkoxy.

Conjugated diene rubber modified with polar alkoxysilane, method and composition thereof

A method of forming modified conjugated diene rubber includes (a) reacting an alkali metal ion-containing conjugated diene rubber with a first modifier having a structural formula (I), wherein R, R, Rare each independently selected from the group consisting of C-Cof alkyl and C-Cof alkenyl groups and C-Cof aromatic group, and Ris selected from the group consisting of C-Cof alkyl, C-Cof alkenyl, C-Cof alkoxy groups and C-Cof aromatic group; and (b) adding a second modifier having a structural formula (II) after (a),HO&#x2014;R&#x2014;Y&#x2003;&#x2003;(II)wherein Ris selected from the group consisting of C-Cof alkylene, C-Cof alkenylene, C-Cof alicyclic groups and C-Cof aromatic group, and Y is selected from the group consisting of oxygen-containing C-Cgroup and nitrogen-containing, C-Cgroup, wherein Y has the oxygen atom or the nitrogen atom directly connected to a carbon atom of R.

Modified conjugated diene rubber, method and composition thereof

A process for producing conjugated diene rubber and its composite includes polymerizing a conjugated diene or a conjugated diene and a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon in a hydrocarbon solution by anionic polymerization to obtain conjugated diene rubber containing alkali metal in the polymer chain end reacting with at least one organic silane compound to become a modified conjugated diene rubber. After or during the modified conjugated diene rubber contacting with large amount of water, solvent and water content are removed from the modified conjugated diene by applicable hot sources, wherein coupling ratio of modified conjugated diene rubber is less than 40%, coupling ratio of modified conjugated diene rubber after contact with water is at least 50% The conjugated diene rubber and composite exhibit storage stability.

Process for producing conjugated diene rubber and composite of the same rubber

A catalyst composition and a method for hydrogenating a polymer having a conjugated diene are provided. The catalyst composition includes (a) a first composition having one of a bis(cyclopendienyl, fluorenyl, indenyl and derivatives thereof) titanium compound and a mixture thereof; (b) a second composition having one selected from the group consisting of a first compound of a formula (II), a second compound of a formula (III) and a mixture thereof: wherein the formula (II) has a chain structure, the formula (III) has a cyclic structure, the R is C&#x2dc;Calkyl, the Xand Xare ones selected from the group consisting of C&#x2dc;Calkyl, C&#x2dc;Ccycloalkoxy, aryl, C&#x2dc;Calkyl aryl and carbonyl, and n&#x3e;1 and m&#x3e;2; and (c) a third composition having an organic metallic compound.

Catalyst composition and method for hydrogenating a polymer having a conjugated diene

A process for hydrogenation of an unsaturated polymer. The conjugated diene polymer in an inert organic solvent is brought into contact with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst composition to selectively hydrogenate the unsaturated double bonds in the conjugated diene units of the conjugated diene polymer. The hydrogenation catalyst composition includes: (a) a titanium compound; (b) a compound represented by formula (II) or formula (III): wherein Lis a Group IVA element, Lis a Group IVA element, Ris C&#x2013;Calkyl or C&#x2013;Ccycloalkyl, Ris C&#x2013;Calkyl or C&#x2013;Ccycloalkyl, and X, X, and Xcan be the same or different and are C&#x2013;Calkyl, C&#x2013;Calkoxy, C&#x2013;Ccycloalkoxy, phenyl, or phenoxy; and (c) a trialkylaluminum compound.

Hydrogenation catalyst composition and process for hydrogenation of conjugated diene polymer

A process for hydrogenation of a conjugated diene polymer. The conjugated diene polymer in an inert organic solvent is brought into contact with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst composition to selectively hydrogenate the unsaturated double bonds in the conjugated diene units of the conjugated diene polymer. The hydrogenation catalyst composition includes: (I) a titanium compound; (II) a compound represented by formula (II):wherein L is a Group IVB element, R is C-Calkyl or C-Ccycloalkyl, X can be the same or different and is C-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Ccycloalkoxy, halogen, or carbonyl; and (III) a trialkylaluminum compound.

Process for hydrogenation of conjugated diene polymer

The rubber for high-performance tire tread of the invention basically includes: (a) about 10%.about.50% weight percentage low molecular weight coupled copolymer of aromatic vinyl compound and conjugated diene or conjugated diene monopolymer, having a molecular weight of 5.times.10.sup.4 .about.35.times.10.sup.4, (b) about 10%.about.60% weight percentage middle molecular weight uncoupled copolymer of aromatic vinyl compound and conjugated diene, having a molecular weight of 10.times.10.sup.4 .about.80.times.10.sup.4, and (c) 5.about.60% weight percentage high molecular weight coupled copolymer of aromatic vinyl compound and conjugated diene, having a molecular weight of 45.times.10.sup.4 .about.200.times.10.sup.4.
