An exerciser includes a body and an adjustment wheel. The body has two flywheels and two foot support links. The two flywheels each have a sliding portion which radially connected thereto so as to guide the two foot support links to alternatively move along a supporting travel and a crossing travel to complete a closed pedal trajectory when the flywheels rotate. The timing adjustment wheel is pivotally connected to the body. The timing adjustment wheel has a first slider and a second slider, the first and second sliders are configured to move along the sliding portions of the flywheels. The foot support links drives the flywheel to rotate so that the first and second sliders move along the sliding portions to change the speeds and phase differences of the foot support links so as to meet the principles of ergonomics.

Elliptical exerciser

An elliptical exerciser includes a body having two foot support links and two rotation members. The rotation members are rotated about their respective rotation pivots to drive the foot support links to move along a supporting travel and a crossing travel to complete a closed pedal trajectory. The timing adjustment wheel is pivotally connected to the body. A distance is defined between the pivot of the timing adjustment wheel and either of the rotation pivots of the rotation members. Two connecting links are pivotally connected to the timing adjustment wheel. The lengths of the two connecting links are longer than the distance. When one of the foot support links moves within the supporting travel and rotates one of the rotation members, the timing adjustment wheel drives the other foot support link to move within the crossing travel and produces speed and phase differences to be more ergonomic.

An automatic tool changer in a machining center includes a reducer, a compound cam, a cylindric cam, a four-bar mechanism, an elliptic trammel mechanism, and a tool changer device. The compound cam and the cylindric cam are driven by a motor after speed reduction through a belt and gear train. The compound cam which is composed of a roller gear cam and a face cam performs the tool change motions. During the tool change motions, the cylindric cam drives the follower which is fixed on the slider of the elliptic trammel mechanism to make the other slider push the pull bar which produces the pushing and pulling tool motions in the spindle head. By way of using this design, the tool change time is largely reduced, the tool change motions are smoother, and the cost is less expensive than the previous designs.

Elliptic trammel mechanism for automatic tool changing apparatus

The present invention is related to an automatic tool-changing mechanism adapted to be used in a machining center and including a power source, a machine frame and an automatic tool changing device secured to the machine frame, wherein the automatic tool changing device includes a tool changer secured to the machine frame for functioning in tool-grasping, tool-extracting, tool-interchanging, tool-inserting and tool-returning motions; a rotating device secured to a driving shaft and coupled to the tool changer and a swing arm device, the rotating device including a first and second rotating elements in which the first rotating element is used for enabling a to-and-fro swing motion of the swing arm device and the second rotating element is used for enabling a to-and-fro rotary motion of the tool changer to perform the tool-grasping, tool-interchanging and tool-returning motions; and the swing arm device having an intermediate portion thereof pivotally coupled to the machine frame and a first end portion and a second end portion thereof pivotally coupled to the first rotating element and the tool changer, respectively, so as to swing to and fro stably in response to an operation of the first rotating element to facilitate the tool-extracting and tool-inserting motions of the tool changer. The present invention has less mechanical elements compared to the conventional mechanism so that the assembling time can be reduced. In addition, the present invention can effectively lower the rocking of the tool-changing arm upon swinging so as to enhance the positioning precision.
