Methods and devices for automatically managing audio air control messages on an aircraft are described. The device comprises a unit for automatically transcribing an audio message received on board an aircraft into a textual message, a unit for automatically processing the textual message in order to extract all the indications included in this message, and a unit for automatically displaying, for each extracted indication, on at least one screen of the aircraft cockpit, an information message relating to the indication and a validation request for the pilot.

The documentary assistance device () comprises sources of computer data (Sto Sn, Bto Bp) relating to said aircraft, to elements of the latter, as well as to the outside environment, an interrogation means () capable of being activated by an operator so as to generate a request for information relating to the execution of at least one particular task, an information presentation means (), and a central processing unit () searching the data sources (Sto Sn, Bto Bp) in response to the creation of a request for information by the interrogation means (), for data relating to the execution of the task, collecting these data and transmitting them, in the form of information, to the information presentation means () with a view to their presentation to the operator.
