A retrievable well plug has a through shaft () with link connections () and a packer element (). By pushing the link connections () and the packer element towards each other, the link connections () and the packer element () expand radially, such that a mechanical barrier for the packer element () is formed. The links () have a generally T-shaped cross sectional profile and include an arm () with an end () meant for fastening to the fastening devices (). The other end of the arm () fastens to the second link () of the link connection (). Upper supporting surfaces () of the links () form an approximately tight mechanical barrier against the packer element () in an expanded position. The anchoring device () has a number of gripping devices (), wherein the gripping devices () at setting of the well plug () expand radially, thereby providing an anchoring of the well plug () to the well bore wall.

Method and device related to a retrievable well plug

A device for use with a retrievable bridge plug (,) comprising an upper packer element (,) and a lower packer element (,). The upper element (,) is connected to an upper link (,), which can rotate around a first pin (,). Upper link (,) is rotatably connected to a lower link (,) by a second pin (,). Lower link (,) can rotate around a third pin (,). An angle (&agr;) is formed between the longitudinal axis of the bridge plug and a line extending through the first pin (,) and the second pin (,), and correspondingly through the second pin (,) and the third pin (,), which is greater than zero when upper link (,) and lower link (,) is drawn. Upper link (,) and lower link (,) are arranged for, at setting, to expand radially by compression of upper packer bracket (,) against lower bracket (,), for forming a mechanical barrier for upper packer element (,) and lower packer element (,).
