The invention relates to a microscopy system for representing an object that can be placed on an object plane () of the microscopy system, the latter comprising a representation system () containing several optical elements for providing at least one optical representation path (). According to one embodiment of the invention, the optical elements comprise a plurality of optical lenses (-), through which the optical representation path(s) (-) pass(es) in sequence and which represent the object plane () in an intermediate image (P). The optical lenses (-) are configured in such a way that the representation of the object plane () in the intermediate image (P) is reduced a maximum 0.9 times, preferably a maximum 0.8 times, preferably a maximum 0.6 times, with 0.5 times being the preferred maximum reduction.

Microscopy system

The invention relates to a microscope or stereomicroscope for representing an object that can be placed on an object plane () of the stereomicroscope, the latter providing at least one pair of optical paths () and comprising at least one deflection element with a reflecting surface () and a representation system (') containing several optical elements. The optical elements comprise a plurality of lenses (-&#x2032;-&#x2033;-&#x2032;&#x2033;-&#x2033;&#x2033;-&#x2033;&#x2033;). In addition, the optical elements are configured in such a way, that pupil planes () of the optical representation paths () intersect the reflecting surface (&#x2032;) of the deflection element or are located at a distance (S, S&#x2032;; S*, S*&#x2032;) from said reflecting surface (&#x2032;). The distance (S, S&#x2032;; S*, S*&#x2032;) is less than 1.5 times, in particular less than 1.0 and in particular less than half the diameter (D) of one of the reflecting surfaces () along the optical representation paths () on the closest lens () of the plurality of lenses (-&#x2032;-&#x2033;-&#x2032;&#x2033;-&#x2033;&#x2033;-&#x2033;&#x2033;). The invention also relates to a stereomicroscope with a particularly compact construction, in which at least one pair of optical representation paths () is reflected on a first, second, third and fourth reflecting surface (). The invention also relates to a microscope, in which a pupil representation takes place in the vicinity of a reflecting surface.

Stereoscopic microscope

A surgical microscope () has an illuminating arrangement () which can guide illuminating light to the object region () with a first illuminating beam path () and with a second illuminating beam path (). A light exit unit is provided in the first illuminating beam path (). An illuminating field diaphragm is mounted in the second illuminating beam path. The first illuminating beam path () has an illuminating optic which images the light exit plane of the light exit unit or a plane conjugated to the light exit plane into a first image plane (). An illuminating optic is provided in the second illuminating beam path () and this illuminating optic images the illuminating field diaphragm into a second image plane () different from the first image plane.
