Method of manufacturing a material strand

A method for manufacturing a material strand assembly for a vehicle. The method includes: extruding strand material in an extruder so that an extruded material strand is produced; monitoring the quality of the extruded material strand so as to detect faults of the extruded material strand; in case of a detection of a fault, cutting out the fault from the material strand and re-joining cutting end faces, thus producing a joint, so that a faultless material strand is produced. The cutting-out step is conducted such that any two adjacent joints are at a minimum joint distance from each other. The faultless material strand is stored in a storage unit so as to produce the material strand assembly. The extruded material strand is passed through a first strand accumulator between the extruder and the cutting arrangement and through a second strand accumulator between the cutting arrangement and the storage unit.

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for sealing and guiding a powered window pane (), particularly of a motor vehicle. Said sealing arrangement is provided with a seal () produced as a single part from an elastically deformable material. The inventive sealing arrangement is also provided with a sash () which frames the window pane () and to which the seal () can be fixed. Said sash () comprises an inner flange () and an outer flange (). The seal () comprises an inner side section () that can be fixed to the inner flange (), an outer side section () that can be fixed to the outer flange (), and a base portion () located outside the cavity portion (). The aim of the invention is to achieve a universal embodiment of the seal (). To this end, an inner sealing element () arranged on the inner leg portion (), and an outer sealing element () arranged on the outer leg portion (), are respectively embodied as a hollow chamber and provided with a contact surface area () that can be applied to a side surface () of the window pane (). Said contact surface areas () are embodied in two directions (x, y) extending perpendicularly in relation to each other, in such a way that the window pane () can be reversibly displaced between the inner sealing element () an the outer sealing element ().

Sealing arrangement for sealing and guiding a powered window pane, particularly of a motor vehicle

A sealing profile () for sealing a powered window pane () in a door () of a motor vehicle. The sealing profile () includes a base body () made of an elastomeric material on which at least one sealing portion () and at least one fastening portion () for attaching the sealing profile () to a door flange () are provided. The sealing profile () also includes at least one trim strip () that has a finishing portion () and a fastener (), which protrudes therefrom and which can be fixed to the base body () in a positive manner. The trim strip () is curved in the longitudinal direction thereof. The fastener () is provided in the form of an elongated insertion limb, which is oriented essentially perpendicular to the finishing portion (). The fastener () is additionally provided with at least one appendage (). The base body () comprises a flexible reinforcing element () that reinforces the finishing portion () in the area of the door flange (). The base body () also includes a slot-shaped retainer channel (), which extends along the limb of the reinforcing element (), said limb running essentially parallel to the door flange (), and which is provided with at least one recess (). The fastener () is placed inside the retainer channel (), and the appendage () of the fastener () engages in a positive manner inside the associated recess () of the retainer channel ().
