To track the path of moving objects without using object-identifying information, e.g. GPS information of the object or other individual identifiers by means which an object can be basically identified, or if the objects continue to change their respective identity, it is proposed how a statement can be made about the successful tracking with respect to at least some of the object group along the tracking route on the basis of the acquisition of information, taking place along a tracking route repeatedly with non-object-identifying parameter data which is emitted by the moving objects, at regular time intervals, by object-group-specific considerations of the acquired parameter data, of group-specific data profiles, acquired from these considerations, and a data profile similarity comparison, and tracking information is generated, and otherwise no such statement is possible and the generation of the tracking information does not occur.

Method, device and arrangement for tracking moving objects

A method for high-precision position determination for vehicles, wherein the vehicles include devices for wireless communication with intelligent infrastructure devices, the precise position of the intelligent infrastructure device being known and the vehicles exchange status information with the intelligent infrastructure devices at predefined time intervals, and wherein the intelligent infrastructure devices have devices for determining the direction of the received signals carrying the status information, in which the status information sent from the vehicles to the intelligent infrastructure devices includes at least the vehicle identifier and information about the speed and the direction of the vehicle, and in which the position of the vehicles is determined via trigonometric methods from consecutive sets of status information, the associated known time intervals, the direction of the signals carrying the status information and the position of the intelligent infrastructure devices.

High-precision position determination for vehicles

The invention relates to a radio transmission/radio reception device and to a method for communication within a, in particular wireless, motor vehicle communication system interacting in ad-hoc fashion which are configured such that the radio transmission/radio reception device emits a piece of information about the scope of envisaged reports, at least one further radio transmission/radio reception device receives the information, and the further radio transmission/radio reception device takes the received information as a basis for stipulating a frequency for the emission of chronologically successive reports.

Radio transmission/radio reception device and method for communication within a, in particular wireless, motor vehicle communication system interacting in ad-hoc fashion

The invention relates to a method and a stationary device for communication on the basis of an ad-hoc interacting motor vehicle communication system, particularly of the wireless variety. Communication occurs between the road users and/or pedestrians themselves and/or between road users and/or pedestrians and the traffic infrastructure wherein, in the near field of a traffic route junction, particularly T-junctions or intersections of traffic routes such as road or railway junctions, a radio transmission/receiving device associated with a first road user continuously transmits a message to at least one second radio transmission/receiving device that is associated with a device of the traffic infrastructure and located in the radio coverage range of said first radio transmission/receiving device, the message being transmitted such that a first direction of a change in position of the first road user is detected on the basis of the received message, a history of detected directions is compiled on the basis of these messages, a first correlation is determined between said first direction and the historical directions, a second correlation is determined with the result of said first correlation and a reference traffic lane of pre-plotted traffic lanes at the traffic route junction, said reference traffic lane corresponding to the geographic course and being the basis for road user and/or pedestrian control, particularly when initialising the traffic control, and road users and/or pedestrians being controlled on the basis of said first and/or second correlation.

Method and device for communication between road users and/or pedestrians and a traffic infrastructure on the basis of an ad-hoc wireless motor vehicle communications system for traffic control

The invention relates to a method for communication on the basis of an, in particular wireless, motor vehicle communication system interacting in an ad-hoc manner, wherein the communication takes place between road users themselves and/or between road users and traffic infrastructure, in which, in the vicinity of a node for traffic routes, particularly junctions or intersections between traffic routes such as road or rail junctions, a radio transmission/radio reception device associated with a first road user continuously sends a message to at least one second radio transmission/radio reception device, which is situated in the radio coverage area of the first radio transmission/radio reception device and is associated with a device for the traffic infrastructure, the message is sent such that, on the basis of the received message, for each manoeuvre that is possible at the node, at least one value correlating to a probability of execution of the manoeuvre at the node is ascertained, and the road users are controlled on the basis of the correlating value. The invention also relates to a device for the traffic infrastructure and to a road user device having means for carrying out the method.

A method for communicating based on an ad hoc-type motor vehicle communication system, in which transportation users communicate with one another and/or transportation users and the transportation infrastructure communicate, includes determining the valid directions of travel independently based on messages transmitted by transportation users and determining travel in the wrong direction based on these messages. Corresponding further messages may be transmitted in response to the hazardous situation. A transportation infrastructure device and to a transportation user device may implement the method.
