A medical apparatus to support an endoscopic investigation that includes a housing with a base surface, a front surface and a rear surface, and a light source that is positioned in the housing to generate light to illuminate an object that is to be investigated with an endoscope. In addition the medical apparatus includes a coupling device to couple a proximal end of an endoscope on the medical apparatus and to transmit light from the medical apparatus to the endoscope. The medical apparatus includes a screen, which is positioned on the front surface of the housing to observe an image taken by means of the endoscope, where the front surface and rear surface are each inclined toward the rear at an angle between 5 and 15 degrees with respect to a plane perpendicular to the base surface.

An adapter device, which is configured to couple an endoscope with a medical appliance, such that the medical appliance is provided to generate light to illuminate an object to be investigated by an endoscope, includes an adapter body with a through-hole through which light generated by the medical appliance can be transmitted, and a fastening device to removably secure the adapter body on the medical appliance. The side of the adapter body that is to face the medical appliance is configured to be held form-locked in a predetermined angle position when the adapter body is secured on the medical appliance.

The invention relates to an intracorporeal probe (), for example preferably for examining hollow organs or natural or artificially created body cavities in the human or animal body, the probe () being designed in the form of a capsule that can be introduced into the body without external connecting elements, comprising an elongate housing () and an image pickup unit () inside the housing () that is designed for optically recording a region (pickup region) outside the probe (). The image pickup unit () is held in a fashion capable of moving inside the housing () in order to vary the pickup region by means of such a movement (FIG.).

A stroboscope module has a coupling with which the stroboscope module can be connected to a light connection of an endoscope. The coupling comprises a sleeve and a base, with the base being arranged in the sleeve displacable in an axial direction between a first position and a second position. An elastically deformable cuff having an internal diameter is arranged within the sleeve, into which cuff the light connection of the endoscope can be inserted in the first position. The sleeve and the base compress the cuff in the second position such that the internal diameter of the cuff is reduced and the light connection of the endoscope is locked in the coupling. The sleeve and the base can be locked in the second position.
