A fastening of a strip to a rearwardly accessible carrier part has arranged opposite one another on the longitudinal edges of the strip, pairs of holding tongues which are inserted through long holes arranged in the carrier part. At their free ends, the holding tongues are provided on the sides facing one another with respective hooks which themselves have a clamping face extending approximately parallel to the rear side of the carrier part. Arranged on the rear side of the carrier part for each pair of holding tongues is a double-winged rotary bolt which is pivotable about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the rear side and arranged between the respective mutually opposite pair of long holes. To lock the strip, the wings are pivoted inwards with their end regions between the rear side of the carrier part and the clamping faces of the hooks on the holding tongues, so as bear tautly against the clamping faces.

Fastening of a strip to a rearwardly accessible carrier part

A device is disclosed for holding a decorative cover on a bumper. Known holding devices provide either attachment of the decorative cover to the bumper in a manner fixed by means of a fastening clip or screw fastenings which are passed through an elongate hole in the bumper, the intention of this being that the elastic bumper should be movable relative to the decorative cover. The new device for holding a decorative cover includes a holding clip and a fixing pin, the decorative cover merely requiring to be pushed on rather than attaching by screw threads. The elongate hole is made in the holding clip. The pin is inserted with an accurate fit into the bumper and can be moved along the elongate hole relative to the holding clip and the decorative cover.

A headlamp casing of a motor-vehicle headlamp is disclosed which is connected to an inner reflector receiving a bulb centrally in a bore and which is fastened pivotably and centrally in a trough of a body receptacle. The headlamp casing has a tubular extension which projects centrally from the outer face and is connected through an orifice in the receptacle to a fastening part and through the bore of which a headlamp bulb can be drawn out of the reflector bore from the rear side of the receptacle.

Motor vehicle headlamp

A headlamp for motor vehicles exhibits a diffuser disc which serves to mask a light exit aperture of a reflector housing and which is retained on the latter by a fastening frame and which is braced toward the depth of the reflector housing only by the reflector housing. The reflector housing yields at least in a bracing region in case of a collision and clears the path for a yielding plunging of the diffuser disc into a reflector housing cavity without the fastening frame being prejudicially deformed.

Headlamp for a motor vehicle

The application relates to a lock having a closing cylinder for a drop door of a motor vehicle, with the free end of the rotor being provided with a locking projection. To enable the drop door to be slammed shut even when the lock is closed, a ring is provided which can be turned through a certain angle about the rotor longitudinal axis against spring force and is mounted on the end of the rotor remote from the insertion opening for the key. A rotary latch body which is acted upon by a spring is coupled to the ring in hinged manner. The rotary latch body, in a base area, has a central passage opening for the free end of the rotor and a recess for the passage of the locking projection at a certain angular position. The rotary latch body has a projection with a bevelled side face which interacts as a mating piece with an inclined plane fixed to the vehicle to be movable against spring force when the door is slammed shut, to then be returned by the spring force to the locked position.

Lock with a lock cylinder for a floor lid of a motor vehicle

A lock assembly is disclosed for locking pivotable hoods, flaps or the like of motor vehicles, which lock assembly has a displaceable closing cylinder, a handle key, a detent pawl and a rotary latch. To ensure that a closure of this type is adjusted quickly and accurately during assembly, the closing cylinder and handle key on the one hand and the detent pawl and rotary latch on the other hand are arranged in separate housings, and the two housings have guides in which they are displaceable relative to one another on overcoming a frictional force.

Lock for pivotable hoods or the like for motor vehicles

A bumper for motor vehicles, with the bumper having an extruded basic element having a shaped retaining rail adapted to accept an impact plate of a shock absorber. The impact plate is floatingly mounted in an elastomeric element. The elastomeric element is pushed into the retaining rail and the retaining rail is provided with recesses adapted to accept associated projections provided on the elastomeric element in a supporting fashion when an installation position of the bumper is reached.

Bumper for motor vehicles

A fastening arrangement for a bumper, especially for a bumper drawn down relatively far on the end of the body at the subframe of a motor vehicle, in which the bumper part to be fastened to the subframe is supported at a cross bearer connecting two vehicle longitudinal bearers with each other. Free ends of the bumper project into the associated longitudinal bearers; each of the free ends being also supported at the frame connection formed by the cross and longitudinal bearers.

A motor vehicle door lock which includes an essentially U-shaped housing, a rotary catch, a locking pawl, and a locking button with the rotary catch being arranged in a plane parallel to the front surface ad cover plate and the locking pawl being rotatably supported beneath the rotary catch. To determine whether a door is properly locked, the locking pawl includes an actuating lever arm which projects beyond a bearing bolt with a microswitch, arranged between the rotary catch and the cover plate, including an actuating spring that selectively cooperates with the actuating lever arm in dependence upon the condition of the door lock.

Door lock, especially for motor vehicle doors

A bumper for motor vehicles which is displaced in the vehicle longitudinal direction in case of an impact and which is provided with end portions laterally drawn about the vehicle, rigidly connected with the bumper center portion and extending approximately parallel to the vehicle outer surfaces. For purposes of longitudinally guiding the end portions at a distance from the vehicle outer surface, mounting brackets are rigidly connected to each end portion and have free which engage guide members projecting from the vehicle outer surface. A support part of each end portion terminates at a distance from an associated wheel casing cutout and includes on its top side a cover member rigidly connected to the end portion and the remaining area of the end portion is covered by a downwardly projecting apron. In case of a unilateral yielding of the bumper, the apron at first engages a deflection edge of the guide member and then is guided along the same past the wheel while being bent.

A door guide for a rear door or tailgate of a station wagon with the guide including a first member, fixed to a body portion of the station wagon, having at least one wedge-shaped recess which is adapted to receive a projection of a second fitting member, fixed to the door or tailgate, when the door or tailgate is closed. The second member includes a metallic base body with the projections thereof having, in run-in zones, two opposed recesses. An elastic abrasion-resistant material is applied by an extrusion coating on the base body with a projecting bead-like elevation of material being provided at the projections. The bead-like material is adapted to be at least partly forced into extrusion-coated recesses in the process of closing the door or tailgate.

Door guidance, especially for the tail door of a station wagon

A motor vehicle bumper-covering for bridging the upper gap between the vehicle body and the bumper structure is supported at the vehicle body, and consists of an upper covering strip combined with two lateral or side parts forming pocket-shaped members for covering or enclosing the ends of the bumper. The covering strip and the lateral pocket-shaped parts are a soft elastic material which is securely connected with the vehicle body by fasteners, such as threaded screws or bolts, acting in conjunction with fastening plates of a hard material. A preferably construction of the pocket-shaped lateral portions of the bumper covering includes a generally C-shaped cross-sectional profiled configuration with the opened side of the configuration facing the vehicle body; the C-shaped profiled lateral pocket member being attached to the vehicle body by a holding plate clamping the edges of the pocket-like member to the wall of the vehicle body in conjunction with a fastening member. The bumper structure may be of the type supported at the vehicle by yielding energy-absorbing members.

Bumper covering for motor vehicles

A bumper for motor vehicles, especially for passenger motor vehicles which has a U-shaped profile whose web forms the front end of the bumper and which is bearer for guide members guiding the fastening means that are secured at the framework of the vehicle; the guide members are thereby angularly bent spring steel bracket members serving as damping members whose leg portions are fastened at the oppositely disposed legs of the bumper or at the web of the U-shaped profile of the bumper and whose webs are secured at the fastening means.

A shock absorber fastening at the bumper of motor vehicles, in which an impact plate is secured externally at the bottom of the shock absorber housing which projects considerably beyond the circumference of the shock absorber housing bottom; the impact plate is embedded within a shock absorber bearing of an elastomer or polyurethane material; the impact plate is detachably secured at the bumper by way of a metal cap at least partly surrounding the shock absorber bearing, through which a shock absorber housing part is adapted to be extended.
