An apparatus and method for calibrating and/or adjusting a force transducer or accelerator sensor of a measuring apparatus. The apparatus including a force spring element fixedly connectable to the measuring apparatus, a mass body movable along a guide relative to the force application element and a reference force transducer or reference acceleration sensor arranged between the force application element and the mass body. A positive or negative acceleration is applied to the mass body and the reaction forces resulting from the acceleration of the mass body are applied to the force-application element and, additionally, to the force transducer or acceleration sensor in the measuring apparatus. Values determined by the reference force transducer or reference acceleration sensor and the values determined by the force transducer or acceleration sensor in the measuring apparatus are recorded, processed and compared.

Apparatus and method for calibrating and/or adjusting a force transducer or acceleration sensor of a measuring apparatus for dynamic forces

A device for determining geometry characteristic values of a wheel profile on a rolling wheel of a rail vehicle that includes a first sensor arrangement, which has a first non-contact measuring distance sensor, which is oriented at a reference surface in the form of the inner planar surface of the rolling wheel, and at least one further non-contact measuring distance sensor, which is oriented at a defined angle of incidence at the wheel surface of the rolling wheel facing the rail or the wheel surface of the rolling wheel to be examined. Both distance sensors are arranged a defined distance to the rail. An electronic evaluation device calculates the geometry characteristic values from the detected distance signals. The first and the further non-contact measuring distance sensor use a frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar (FMCW), and a lens is used to bundle the radar waves and thus to define a measuring spot.

Device and method for determining geometry characteristic values of a wheel profile on a rolling wheel of a rail vehicle

A diagnostic device for determining an out-of-roundness on wheels of rail vehicles within a specified measuring section, comprising a plurality of force sensors, which are designed to determine forces acting on them and are connected to an evaluating device, wherein the evaluating device is provided for determining the out-of-roundness by integrating a force signal F, which is forwarded by the force sensors over time in order to determine an impulse. A method is also provided for determining an out-of-roundness on wheels of rail vehicles within a specified measurement section, wherein the force signals of at least one force sensor are fed to an evaluating device, the evaluating device detects an impulse, and the evaluating device integrates a force signal over a defined time interval and thereafter uses said force signal to output a result.

Diagnostic device for detecting an out-of-roundness on railway vehicle wheels in accordance with an impulse evaluation method

The object to configure a system for measuring loads during the wheel/rail contact of rail vehicles in such a manner that the occurring forces and/or torques can be measured in a reliable and realistic manner is solved by the present invention. Between the rail foot and the measuring device, at least one elastic element is arranged which has an elasticity which simulates the elasticity of a ballast bed. By means of the measuring system according to the invention, on the one hand, realistic conditions of a track system can be simulated and, on the other, a high metrological reproducibility of a load situation can be achieved.
