A sorting device for sorting products, comprising successive carrier units each provided with a load carrying platform having a front arcuate edge and a rear arcuate edge. The sorting device further conveys the load carrying platforms along a conveying path and includes an elongated pusher element for each load carrying platform for pushing a product to be sorted sideways off, using at least one pusher element, at a desired sorting location. The pusher elements each extend above a load carrying platform and are designed for joint transport with the load carrying platform. The sorting device further comprises two elongated passages in the load carrying platform, and drive means at least partially provided under the load carrying platforms for moving a pusher element sideways between two opposite lateral positions at a desired sorting location.

Sorting device for sorting products

The invention relates to a device for sorting products, which device comprises adjacently arranged supporting units which are movable in a direction of transport along a conveying path, each supporting unit being provided with at least one load carrying platform comprising a supporting surface for supporting a product. The load carrying platform is supported by a support member, which can be tilted by tilting means about an axis of tilt parallel to the conveying path with respect to a conveying element forming part of a supporting unit, which conveying element is movable along a guide extending according to said conveying path. The tilting means comprise at least one cam which can be rotated by drive means about an axis of rotation extending parallel to the axis of tilt, spaced from said cam by some distance, during which rotation the cam moves over a camway so as to cause the support member to tilt about the axis of tilt, between a neutral position and an extreme position, through rotation of the cam about the axis of rotation.

Device and method for sorting products

The invention provides a device for sorting products, comprising bogies which are movable in a direction of transport along a conveying path, which bogies are pivotally interconnected, and supporting platforms comprising a supporting surface for supporting products to be sorted. Each of the supporting platforms includes supporting elements which are movable with respect to an adjacent supporting element for changing the circumference of the supporting platform in question during passage of a bend in the conveying path, which supporting elements include two outer supporting elements which, seen in the direction of transport, are located at the front side and the rear side, respectively, of the supporting platform in question and at least one intermediate supporting element positioned between the outer supporting elements. The device furthermore comprises a supporting device for supporting the supporting platforms on the bogies and a tilting device for tilting the supporting platforms about a tilt axis that extends parallel to the direction of transport. The support of the said at least one intermediate supporting element on the bogies takes place via the outer supporting elements.
