The invention proposes a medical system which comprises a central control unit which is set up to display at least one diagnostic measured value using a display element. The medical system also comprises at least one invasive unit, wherein the invasive unit has at least one invasive consumable. The invasive consumable is set up to invasively intervene in a tissue of a patient. The invasive unit has at least one contactlessly readable electronic identifier for storing at least one piece of information. The central control unit is set up to electronically read the at least one piece of information in the electronic identifier. The central control unit and the invasive unit are functionally independent of one another such that the respective function of the central control unit and of the invasive unit can be performed independently of the presence of the respective other unit.

Medical system having consumables monitoring

A portable medical system is provided for the purposes of analysis and/or medication, the system having at least one of a medical monitoring device, an analysis device and a medication device. The portable medical system comprises at least one display element comprising at least one organic light-emitting diode display. An optimization device can be provided that comprises a brightness sensor and is configured to optimize the brightness, contrast and/or power consumption of the at least one display element. Furthermore, a monitoring device can be provided which monitors the functionality of the display element. Faults in the display element can be detected in this way, and a corresponding warning can be output to a person using the portable medical system.

Measuring device for the optical analysis of a test strip

This invention generally relates to a reflection-photometric analytical system having a measuring head comprising a source of radiation and a radiation detector for the reflection-photometric analysis of a target surface of a test object arranged at a distance from the measuring head and in particular of a test strip for body fluids such as urine or blood. A triangulation unit operating on the basis of optical triangulation is proposed for contact free checking of the distance in order to monitor or regulate the measuring distance.
