A housing for an exhaust gas treatment component includes a casing having a first thickness and a first length and at least one sleeve having a second thickness and a second length. The at least one sleeve is at least partially in contact with the outside of the casing and is connected thereto. The second length of the at least one sleeve is shorter than the first length of the casing. An exhaust gas treatment component, an exhaust gas system and a motor vehicle are also provided.

A housing for an exhaust gas purification component encloses an interior space in which at least one receptacle is formed by the housing at the outside. An exhaust system includes at least one first exhaust line section and the housing having the exhaust gas purification component. The first exhaust line section is in engagement with the receptacle, and the first exhaust line section and the receptacle are connected to one another in a materially integral manner. A motor vehicle having the exhaust system is also provided.

A honeycomb body, in particular for aftertreatment of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, includes an inlet surface, an outlet surface and a honeycomb structure through which a fluid can flow. The honeycomb structure is disposed between the inlet surface and the outlet surface. The honeycomb structure has a storage device for storing at least one component of the fluid. A measurement sensor measures a concentration of the component in the fluid. The measurement sensor is disposed in the honeycomb structure at a given minimum distance from the outlet surface. A method for treating a fluid with the honeycomb body is also provided. The honeycomb body and method advantageously enable components of the fluid, e.g. nitrogen oxides (NO), to be stored and reliably prevent the component which is to be stored from breaking through.

A catalyst carrier configuration includes a housing and at least one catalyst carrier body disposed in the housing. The catalyst carrier body has partition walls defining a plurality of passages for an exhaust gas. A flange surrounds the catalyst carrier body and extends radially outwards from the catalyst carrier body. The flange has a section that extends at least partially into an outer wall of the housing and can be disposed between a cylinder head and a manifold of an internal combustion engine. The catalyst carrier configuration can be mounted close an internal combustion engine. A structural unit having at least two catalyst carrier configurations and an exhaust system are also provided.

A device for cleaning exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, especially a diesel engine, includes at least one catalyst carrier body through which an exhaust gas can flow. The catalyst carrier body is disposed in a casing tube and has a honeycomb-shaped structure. An electrical heating element has a supply terminal at each end and a twisted current path over an electrically insulating gap in the heating element. The heating element is a honeycomb body which is fixed to the catalyst carrier body by electrically insulating support elements and which is located downstream of the catalyst carrier body in exhaust gas flow direction. A honeycomb body, especially a particle filter, situated downstream, may be heated particularly effectively and a temperature required there may be reached and/or maintained, especially for igniting soot that has collected.
