A headlamp for a power vehicle has a reflector mountable on a power vehicle and displaceable relative to the latter, a light source provided in the reflector, an adjustment controller of the reflector, an adapter connectable with the reflector for testing the adjustment, and provided with at least a part of the adjustment controller.

A headlamp for a power vehicle having a chassis comprises a reflector mounted on the chassis and turnable in a horizontal direction for adjusting a direction of light bundle produced by the reflector, reference markings arranged on a chassis part for marking a predetermined position of the reflector, and markings showing a position of the reflector relative to the reference markings, the markings being provided on an upper side of the headlamp in its lateral end regions, the chassis part extending at least partially through the headlamp, and the chassis part having two openings through which the markings can be observed from a side of the headlamp respectively.

A headlamp for a power vehicle comprises a reflector mountable in a chassis and turnable for adjusting its inclination, a water level provided on the reflector for controlling its inclination, the water level having adjusting marks and being displaceable relative to the reflector for reflector specific fine adjustment, a support insertable in the reflector and receiving the water level, the water level having an outer side and provided on the outer side with a cover glass forming a part of an outwardly curved spherical surface, the water level being turnable in the support for fine adjustment about a vertical axis.

A ball joint comprising a ball stud including a shank and a ball formed at one end of the shank and a ball socket for receiving the ball and including resilient arms having an outer surface corresponding to the outer surface of the ball and engaging the same and ridges located internally of the ball socket for preventing displacement of the ball out of the ball socket.

A bushing made of elastic plastic, spherically receives a ball pivot of an adjusting screw and is fixed in a socket which protrudes from a back side of a reflector. Two spring clips of the bushing grip two catches of the socket from behind, and two rails of the hollow journal cooperate with two slot links of the frame. This ball-and-socket mounting, which is coaxial with respect to the adjusting screw can be assembled by robots and does not cause any bending moments that unfavorably affect the reflector mounting.

Ball-and-socket mounting of a reflector on motor vehicle headlight frames

A frame for a headlight of a motor vehicle includes a connecting element of thermoplastics secured to a transparent pane of the headlight, and a screening element of rubber which is non-releasably connected to the connecting element. The frame engages the housing of the headlight and is supported on the transparent pane. The frame has a ring-shaped bead abutting against the pane and a ring-shaped lip lying on the body of the motor vehicle.
