The invention relates to a safety valve comprising a valve body with a guide bore which defines a longitudinal axis, a first opening which is formed on a base of the guide bore, and a second opening which is formed at a distance to the base along the longitudinal axis and which extends along a radial direction extending transversely to the longitudinal axis; a valve needle which is movably mounted in the guide bore of the valve body in an axial direction and which comprises a seal surface facing the first opening; a compression spring device with a spring that is compressed by a deflection and thereby biases the valve needle along the longitudinal axis into a seal position, in which the seal surface of the valve needle seals the first opening; and a thermally activatable trigger unit which has an extension along the longitudinal axis, said extension being greater than the deflection, and which is designed to collapse when a trigger temperature is reached, wherein the compression spring device is supported against the trigger unit.

Safety valve and tank

The invention relates to a valve device () for a gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, comprising a valve housing () which comprises a closing element () that is arranged therein and can be moved in the longitudinal axis (). The closing element () interacts with a seal seat () in order to release and close a through-opening (). The valve housing () is equipped with at least one spring element () which is supported against the closing element () and the valve housing (). Furthermore, the at least one spring element () is made of a bimetal.

Valve device for a gaseous medium, and tank device for storing compressed fluids

A hydrogen gas storage tank includes a body including a steel bulk region and a passivating metal oxide layer adjacent to the steel bulk region, the oxide layer comprising a number of metal oxide molecules, all having a morphology, wherein at least about 51 wt. % of the number of metal oxide molecules are FeOmolecules having morphologies of (012), (001), and/or (110) surface facets such that the oxide layer is configured to lower hydrogen adsorption into the steel bulk region by at least 25% compared to a steel bulk region free from the passivating metal oxide layer.

Hydrogen gas storage tank

A fuel injector for internal combustion engines, with a nozzle body in which a valve needle with a sealing face is movably supported. The sealing face of the valve needle comes into contact with a valve seat face that is adapted to the sealing face and is formed on an inner wall region of an end cup of the nozzle body. At least one injection opening is provided in the valve seat face, wherein both the inner wall region with the valve seat face of the nozzle body disposed on it and an outer wall region are hardened. The nozzle body is comprised of a rustproof martensitic steel that is hardened by means of case hardening with nitrogen.
