Disclosed is a linear synchronous motor comprising an elongate stator extending in a longitudinal direction and having a plurality of coil windings, and a runner having a multiplicity of successive magnets disposed along the length thereof the longitudinal direction. The elongate stator has a plurality of elongate-stator segments arranged successively in the longitudinal direction, with each elongate-stator segment separated from the next successive elongate-stator segment by a gap. A total section length of one elongate-stator segment and an adjacent gap is a constant value over a plurality of successive elongate-stator segments, wherein a runner length measured in the longitudinal direction across all magnets successively disposed on the runner, is an integer multiple of the total section length.

Linear synchronous motor

An elevator installation is proposed having at least one car which is vertically movable upwardly and downwardly by means of a linear motor, the linear motor having stationary primary parts and a secondary part which is fixed to the car. In order to improve the elevator installation in such a way that it can be installed in a simpler manner, the elevator installation has a multiplicity of support segments on which in each case at least one primary part is mounted, in each case a support segment in combination with the at least one primary part mounted thereon forming a prefabricated drive module which is adapted to be handled independently, and the drive modules being stackable one on top of the other and forming a travel path along which the at least one car is movable.

Elevator installation

A magnetic levitation railway is described which comprises a guideway, at least one magnetic levitation vehicle and a device for contactless, inductive transmission of electrical energy from said guideway to said vehicle. According to the invention the device comprises at least two receiver coils () being formed by conductor windings and mounted on the vehicle and at least one primary conductor extending in the longitudinal direction of the guideway and being connected to a high-frequency alternating voltage source. The two receiver coils () are assigned either jointly to the same primary conductor or individually to one of two primary conductors each (FIG.).

The invention relates to a maglev railway comprising a support and drive system of the long stator-linear motor type, magnetic support poles that are situated in the vehicle being additionally provided with linear generator windings () that generate electric energy in the vehicle. The aim of the invention is to prevent unwanted, periodic vibrations (ripples) from being generated at low speeds. To achieve this, according to the invention, the teeth () and grooves () of the long stator () are arranged in high-speed sections () parallel to the cores and the linear generator windings () of the support magnets provided in said cores and in low-speed sections () obliquely to said cores () and linear generator windings.

Magnetically levitated railway

A vehicle for a rail-borne transportation system includes an eddy current brake that contains a large number of magnetic poles and a mechanism for activating the magnetic poles for braking. The magnetic poles are formed by movably supported permanent magnets, and the activation mechanism switches the permanent magnets from an inactive position into an active position.

A switch assembly for magnetic levitation railways includes a girder extending in a travel direction (x) and flexible transversely to it is provided with travel way or equipment parts. A rail and a rack are located transversely to the travel direction. A load-bearing frame, receiving the girder, has a rotatably supported carrying wheel braced on the rail and a drive mechanism with a gear wheel meshing with the rack and with a motor intended for driving it. Switch adjustment is effected by displacement of the load-bearing frame along the rail by means of the drive mechanism and a thus-effected flexing of the girder. The girder, the load-bearing frame and the drive mechanism form a solidly joined-together structural unit which as a whole is located displaceably in the travel direction (x) relative to the rail and the rack.

Switch assembly for magnetic levitation railways

The invention relates to a bending mount () for a switch arrangement for magnetically levitated railways. The bending mount comprises at least a box-shaped support element () that extends in the longitudinal direction (x) and on which are fixed successively arranged supporting metal sheets () that extend on both sides of the support element and serve to assemble the pieces of equipment (). According to the invention, the supporting metal sheets () are configured as single-piece components which extend over the width of the bending mount and are interlinked in the longitudinal direction to form a chain. Said chain essentially does not influence the flexural rigidity of the support element () in the desired direction (y) of a switching arrangement but exhibits a high rigidity against torsion about the longitudinal axis (x) and against vibrations in the vertical direction (z).

A device for automatically controlling a track-bound vehicle, particularly a magnetic levitation vehicle is described. The device comprises a drive and brake system (), an additional brake (), a stationary mounted travel computer () and data carriers () arranged along the guideway for the supply of status signals in the form of location, speed or travel direction signals. In accordance with the invention the device also comprises means () which are arranged for safely stopping and/or starting the vehicle at or from preselected target stopping points () within the stopping zones (A) and which are so configured that an immediate decoupling of the vehicle from the drive and brake system () is effected when an impermissible travel status within the area of a stopping zone (A) is reached (FIG.).

Device for automatically controlling a track-bound vehicle

A magnet arrangement for a magnetic levitation vehicle is described. The magnet arrangement comprises a plurality of magnet poles () being combined to form groups (to), wherein according to the invention each group contains one magnet pole (to) or two magnet poles (to). The windings (to) of each group are controlled by a control circuit () individually assigned to it (FIG.).

A magnet arrangement () for a magnetic levitation vehicle () is described. The magnet arrangement comprises at least one magnetic pole () consisting of a core () and a winding () applied to the core, a control circuit connected to the winding () and a power supply unit for supplying at least the electrical energy required for the control circuit. According to the invention, the magnet arrangement () is designed as an autonomous modular unit integrating within itself the magnetic pole (), the control circuit and the power supply unit (FIG.).

A device for controlling a platform door () located at the guideway () of a vehicle () is described. According to the invention, the device comprises, a sensor unit (), which is mounted at the guideway () and which serves to detect a preselected state of the vehicle (). An evaluating device () connected to the sensor unit () permits an opening of the platform door () only when the vehicle () is in the preselected state.

A device is described for connecting an, at least in part, electrically conductive sheath () of an alternating current winding (), which is placed into the grooves () of a long-stator (), to a ground conductor (). The device comprises a sleeve () partly enclosing the winding () and being provided with a connecting element () for said ground conductor (). According to the invention the sleeve (), the ground conductor () an the connecting element () are exclusively made of a non-corrosive metal (FIG.).

A guiding magnet system for a magnetic levitation vehicle is described. The guiding magnet system has a plurality of magnet arrangements () which each comprise a core () extending in the vehicle's longitudinal direction and have at least two winding levels (planes). In each winding plane an even number of windings (or) is provided. At one end of the magnet arrangements () two windings (e.g.) each lying one behind the other but diagonally above each other and being connected in series, form a pair of windings linked to an assigned control circuit. At the other end of said magnet arrangement either also two such winding pairs or single winding pairs are provided which comprise two windings (or) arranged one behind the other. Further, a magnetic levitation vehicle equipped with such a guiding magnet system is described (FIG.).
