The invention relates to an overload relay with input and output leads provided on opposite side surfaces of the housing as well as auxiliary switch terminals associated with the front side. The break contact terminal (17, 18) are provided here at the same height as the input terminals (3). The end is the fixed contacts for a contact bridge (13) which is held spring-loaded in a slide (10) which can be moved transversely to the front side. The spring (10) has a second contact bridge (19) which cooperates as a make contact with fixed contact parts (21, 22) which can be inserted into the housing (1), where the fixed contact parts (21, 22) are held in an additional block (23) which can be snapped into the housing (1) and in which make contact terminals (24, 25) end. In addition, a switch position indicator (26) and a test slide (30) are provided in the additional building block (23) and can be brought into engagement with the corresponding parts in the overload relay.

Overload relay

A device for extending the actuators of electric switchgear has an extension element which is inserted between a collar and the pushbutton of the equipment. At the end facing away from the collar, the extension element ends in C-shaped, elastically resilient arms which are fastened to the equipment by means of a snap-in connection and between which the push-button is contained. The resilient mounting of the extension element serves both for holding the element to the equipment and for restoring it after actuation. The device can be used for command equipment as well as for reset buttons such as the reset button in overload relays.

Device for extending plunger drives

A tripping device for a thermal protection relay, particularly a bimetal relay, has a pivoted U-shaped support bracket for a tripping lever, can be adjusted by means of an adjusting dog, and acts on a set of contacts. The U-shaped support bracket has a crosspiece which carries one end of U-shaped temperature compensation strip. The other end of the strip rests against the adjusting dog. The support bracket has support points for the support bracket and the tripping lever lying one behind another in the longitudinal direction of the bracket legs, starting at the crosspiece. This relay design results in reduced cost of assembly and in reduced overall relay size. Also, a heretofore required contact pressure spring for the temperature compensation strip is dispensed with.
