An intake control valve for a screw-type compressor is built into the intake line, which it alternatingly opens or closes. The intake control valve, designed as a double seat valve, has a locking body (17), to which are assigned two opposing valve seats, namely a return flow seat (7) and an intake seat (9). Upon starting the screw-type compressor, the locking body (17) is pulled onto the intake seat (9) by means of the resulting intake pressure. As soon as a specific operating pressure is reached, the locking body (17) is lifted from the intake seat (9) by means of the pressure medium by way of a control cylinder (10) with a control piston (11) and moved into an intermediate position between its two seats (7, 9), so that the screw-type compressor can totally transport. As soon as the screw-type compressor is turned off, a weak spring (18) braced against the valve housing (1) pushes the locking body (17) onto the return flow seat (7) and closes it sealingly, so that neither pressure medium nor oil injected for lubricating the screw-type compressor can flow back into the intake line.

Intake control valve

In a piezoelectric valve the actual control member (7) is formed by a displacer fluid motor (9) though which the fluid stream (5) flows. A piezoelectric actuating element (8) is disposed in the region of a displacer element (1), which can be moved by the fluid stream (5) and belongs to this fluid motor (9), and acts exploiting the inverse piezo effect during electric actuation to at least indirectly block or release this displacer element (1). The fluid motor (9) is formed preferably by a rotating piston machine, such as a gear pump.

Valve containing coupled, rotatable elements to control fluid flow

Method for the continuous control of the delivery rate of reciprocating compressors by occasional holding-open of the suction valves by a lifting device (8), which is actuated by a lifting force supplied by a pressure medium. In order to take into consideration the properties of the gas delivered and to adapt the control method in a corresponding manner, the magnitude of the lifting force is chosen depending on the drive power respectively received by the drive motor (11) of the compressor (3). The lifting force may be limited depending on the drive power. An apparatus for carrying out the method includes a compressor system (3), which includes at least one cylinder (4-7) with a lifting device (8) for the suction valve, which is actuated by a lifting force applied by a pressure medium, the magnitude of which can be determined by a controller (10). The drive power received by the drive motor (11) of the compressor (3) is supplied to the controller (10) as a signal. Advantageously, the controller (10) receives a control signal as the reference value and the drive power of the drive motor (11) as an actual value. From the difference between these two signals, the controller (10) forms the lifting force, which then has the effect that the actual value is brought closer to the reference value.

Method for continuous control of delivery rate of reciprocating

The valve, which is intended especially for compressors, comprises a valve seat (1) with passage channels (2), a catcher (3), and at least one sealing element (5), which is arranged in the intermediate space between the valve seat (1) and the catcher (3). The passage channels (2) of the valve seat (1) are controlled by sealing rings (10), which project into their assigned passage channel (2) with one part of their profile when the valve is closed. The sealing surfaces (13), against which the sealing rings (10) abut when the valve is closed, extend at oblique angles to the direction of the lifting movement of the sealing rings (10). To ensure that the valve is sealed even when the sealing rings (10) in their dimensions do not fit accurately with respect to the valve seat (1) and to its sealing surfaces (13), e.g., owing to manufacturing tolerances or different thermal expansions, each sealing ring (10) is subdivided into at least two subrings (11, 12 ), which are tightly joined together and can be moved head-on in the lifting direction.

Valve, especially for compressors

A compressor plate valve has a valve seat (1) with flow passages (6), a valve guard and a valve plate (7) formed from concentric rings (16, 17) joined together by radial webs (18). In order to damp the valve plate (7), and in particular to lessen its impact both on opening and on closing the valve, and to reduce troublesome adhesion between the plates, the valve plate (10) comprises a closure plate (14) of soft material such as plastics, and a guide plate (15) of hard material such as steel. The two plates have the same outline in plan view and lie firmly against each other, the soft closure plate (14) facing the valve seat (1) and the guide plate (15) facing the valve guard (2). Only the outer ring (16) of the two plates (14, 15) is loaded by springs (13) and is substantially wider than the inner rings (17).

A piston-type compressor for gaseous media, e.g. a brake air compressor for automotive vehicles, particularly a compressor having capacity control means, is provided with an externally arranged lubricant pump for supplying the lubricant from a storage reservoir which is positioned below the compressor to a lubrication circuit of the compressor. A downwardly extending return line for the lubricant is provided between the otherwise enclosed crankcase of the compressor and the storage reservoir. In order to prevent a build-up of superatmospheric pressure in the crankcase, a self-acting check valve is installed in the return line the check valve serving to block flow of lubricant through the return duct toward the crankcase of the compressor.

Piston-type compressor

A fluid cylinder control method for monitoring the position or controlling the movements of a piston which is slidably guided in a cylinder tube and is acted upon on at least one side by a pressure medium, in particular, maintaining the piston in a predetermined position against the action of eventual disturbance forces. This is attained in that the force which is transmitted between the piston and the cylinder by way of the parts which are slidingly guided on each other, and in particular the friction force acting by way of the seal gaskets of the piston and/or of the rod, is measured and the loading of the piston by a pressure medium is varied in the sense of reducing the measured force.

A spring plate for transmitting or storing forces is made of plates of material by punching and has radial webs connected in meander form by peripheral bridges. The radial webs between successive bridges are separated by narrow slots whose width, measured when the spring plate is in the flat state, is at least 10% less than the thickness of the spring-plate material, so that a maximum number of radial webs can be accommodated round the periphery of the spring plate.

Method of producing a spring plate

A disc assembly comprises a plurality of substantially radially spaced spokes joined together by intermediate walls of flexible material. The disc assembly can be used to transmit forces in a force transmission system such as a multiple disc clutch. Such a system comprises a member for applying an input force, a member for receiving an output force, and the inventive annular disc assembly, the disc assembly having force transmission and force application regions at its inner and outer edges and at an intermediate region, the noted members being in engagement with at least some of the force transmission and force application regions.

A device for regulating the delivery of rotary compressors, such as screw-type compressors with oil injection, comprises a regulating valve for varying the cross-sectional area of a suction pipe and a non-return valve which closes said suction pipe. The two valves are disposed one behind the other in the flow direction within a casing incorporating a suction pipe. In order to provide a low resistance to flow and to simplify the construction, both valves are in the form of flap valves with the flap of the non-return valve arranged to close a valve seat provided in the casing and being pivotable against a resetting force about an axis extending outside the cross-sectional area of the valve seat.

Device for regulating the delivery of rotary compressors

A blade valve for a compressor comprises two discs which are arranged one above the other with the interposition of a seal. The discs are provided with ducts for the controlled medium and form both the valve seat and the catcher. In the seal, whose thickness determines the valve stroke, elongate recesses are provided for the blades which control the passage ducts. At the ends of the recesses, stepped stops are provided in the seal for the ends of the strip-like blades which are loosely inserted into the recesses. The stepped stops may be formed by profiled strips which are inserted at the ends of the recesses and which extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the blades.

A device for controlling oil injection to a screw compressor, the device comprising an oil stop valve having a closing element mounted at one end of a valve stem slidably and sealingly received in a bore connecting the valve with a housing divided by a diaphragm mounted on the other end of the valve stem into two chambers, one chamber being connectable to the compressor output and when pressurized, serving to act on the diaphragm to open the valve, and the other chamber communicating with the valve via an axial bore in the valve stem and when pressurized, serving to act on the diaphragm to close the valve, the valve stem in its portion received in the bore having a cross-sectional area approximately equal to the effective sealing surface area of the closing element.

Device for controlling oil injection to a screw compressor

A pressure regulator comprises a regulator valve in a casing between a pressure inlet and a pressure outlet, the valve being controlled by a diaphragm subject to inlet pressure and the regulator including a flow restrictor in a passage between the inlet and the diaphragm.
