The invention relates to a method for decomposing a biological sample (), the method having the following steps: the sample () is put into a container () which is composed of plastic, in particular, the container () is inserted into an adapter (), the adapter with the closed container therein is connected to an apparatus which moves the adapter back and forth, in particular upwards, in automated fashion. This method makes it possible to decompose biological samples in automated fashion, to be precise both samples at room temperature and frozen samples. Method and apparatus for the simultaneous, automated decomposition of a plurality of biological samples

Method for the treatment of a sample containing biomolecules

The present invention concerns a contamination barrierthat permits an efficient and reproducible processing of a high number of samples with the prevention of contamination of aqueous solutionsin open and/or automated systems, especially in the ppm range, in that it comprises at least one water immiscible hydrocarbon compound.
