An airbag module includes an airbag with two sections that can be inflated to restrain a vehicle occupant. The inflated airbag defines a gap separating the two sections from each other on a front side of the airbag facing the vehicle occupant. A maximum distance between the airbag sections is dependent on a degree the airbag is filled with the distance decreasing as the airbag is filled. The airbag module also includes a strap at least partially fastened to an outer skin of the airbag. The strap includes at least a first and a second section of variable length. The length of the first section increases or decreases to the extent the length of the second section decreases or increases. The length of the second section defines the maximum distance between the airbag sections.

Airbag module

A steering wheel assembly for a motor vehicle comprises a steering wheel and a display device mounted on the steering wheel. The display device is functionally linked with a sensor device to be mounted on the motor vehicle for detecting a parameter of the motor vehicle and adapted to display the parameter detected by the sensor device. The sensor device is coupled to a functional unit of the motor vehicle for passing on or converting energy and/or information, the functional unit being adapted and configured to display to a driver a suggestion for adjusting the parameter via the display device. The functional unit is associated with an actuator unit of the motor vehicle, which is used to adjust the parameter in accordance with the suggestion displayed by the functional unit.
