Aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for corrosion analysis using magnetic flux leakage measurements. The present technology can magnetic flux leakage data obtained by a magnetic flux leakage tool placed in a pipe within a wellbore and convert the magnetic flux leakage data into image data. Further, the present technology can provide the image data to a machine learning model. The machine learning model is configured to identify one or more physical parameters associated with corrosion present on the pipe.

Corrosion analysis using magnetic flux leakage measurements

Aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for accounting for artifacts in pipe measurements made by an electromagnetic pipe inspection tool. Measurements gathered in a plurality of pipes across different depth points are accessed. Initial estimates of an attribute associated with the plurality of pipes are made for each pipe and a total estimate of the attribute for the plurality of pipes as a whole are made across the different depth points. Corresponding initial estimates of the attribute for each pipe are filtered to remove an artifact present in at least one of the corresponding initial estimates while the total estimate is preserved. Corresponding final estimates of the attribute for each pipe are determined based on both the measurements and corresponding filtered initial estimates of the attribute for each pipe. Integrity of each pipe can be determined based on the corresponding final estimates of the attribute.

Electromagnetic pipe inspection inversion with adaptive filter for artifact removal

Acoustic characterization and mapping of flow from a perforation zone of a well. As a wireline probe containing acoustic sensors moves through the well, the acoustic sensors record acoustic pressure measurements of flow for each perforation in the well casing. The acoustic data is recorded and compiled into a three-dimensional flow model showing flow of hydrocarbons within and/or out of perforation tunnels. The three-dimensional flow models generated can be combined with historical data to form four-dimensional models illustrating flow over time, and both the three and four-dimensional models can be used to determine effectiveness of perforation charges as well as future flow from the well.

System and method for estimation and prediction of production rate of a well via geometric mapping of a perforation zone using a three-dimensional acoustic array

A system includes a tool to dispose in a wellbore lined with pipe. The tool includes first and second receiver coils having a non-uniform winding along a longitudinal axis, a third receiver coil having a non-uniform winding coaxial with at least one of the first and second receiver coils, and a transmitter. The system includes a processor to execute instructions to perform operations including causing the transmitter to emit an induced magnetic field, measuring the induced magnetic field using the first receiver coil to create a first measurement and using the first and second receiver coils to create a second measurement. The operations include determining a static magnetic field, selecting the first or second measurement based on a magnitude of the static magnetic field to determine a selected measurement, and determining at least one property of the pipe using the selected measurement.

Multi-coil tool for attenuation of motion-induced noise during remote field testing of pipe

A passive array of acoustic sensors capture acoustic signals produced by sand movement. The array tool is deployed downhole where it passively listens for acoustic energy generated by sand movement in the well. Once acoustic signals are acquired, model-based frameworks are used to extract single and multiple sensor features from the acoustic signals. The extracted features are used as signatures to detect or classify the production of sand.
