The embodiments herein relate to a method in a first network node for connecting nodes in a communications network. The first network node receives, from a RAN node, information indicating the RAN node and a communications resource which the at least one RAN node is responsible for. The first network node receives, from a second network node, a request for information indicating a serving RAN node which serves a communications resource. The communications resource served by the serving RAN node is one of the communications resource which the received information indicates.
