A user equipment (UE), which is operable in EUTRA networks and in NR networks, can perform a capability transfer procedure. The UE can compile EUTRA capabilities of the UE. The UE can further compile NR capabilities of the UE. The UE can transmit one or more UE capability information messages with the compiled EUTRA capabilities and NR capabilities to a base station in an EUTRA network, characterized in that the NR capabilities are compiled subject to a capability size limit, which corresponds to a supported size of a container in a handover message sent on an inter-RAT interface between Evolved Packet Core and 5G Core.

Methods and devices for facilitating an inter-RAT handover

A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

System and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system

A network node, computer program product, and a method by a network node to allocate at least two beams in a slot to schedule multiple user equipments, UEs, are provided. Each UE is allocated to a baseband port of a plurality of baseband ports such that there is more than one UE allocated to each baseband port. For each baseband port of the plurality of baseband ports: the baseband port is mapped to a polarization of an antenna having multiple polarizations and to one beam of a plurality of beams. The polarization of a baseband port is switched in a time domain to create time diversity of services towards the multiple UEs, wherein a UE is subject to a first polarization for a subset of time occasions and to a second polarization for other time occasions.

According to some embodiments, a method in a wireless device comprises: receiving a control channel (e.g., physical downlink control channel (PDCCH)) that includes control information that indicates a set of time and frequency resources allocated for the wireless device to receive a data transmission; determining that the set of time and frequency resources allocated for data transmission overlaps with a control resource region (e.g., control resource set (CORESET)); and receiving the data transmission in the set of time and frequency resources allocated for data transmission. A disclosed method is implemented by a network node in a wireless communication network to transmitting system information to a plurality of wireless terminals. The network node transmits a first group of system information blocks (SIBs) via a first physical channel, and transmits a second group of additional SIBs via a different, second physical channel. A corresponding network node operative to implement the method is also disclosed. Another disclosed method is implemented by a wireless terminal in a wireless communication network. The wireless terminal processes information received from a base station over a first physical channel to identify a first group of SIBs, and processes information received from the base station over a different, second physical channel to identify a second group of additional SIBs. There is provided mechanisms for reporting a faulty antenna port at a transmitting radio device. A method is performed by a receiving radio device. The method comprises receiving at least one reference signal transmitted at an antenna port of the transmitting radio device. The method comprises determining whether the antenna port is deemed faulty or not by subjecting the at least one reference signal to an evaluation criterion. The method comprises transmitting, when the antenna port is deemed faulty, a report to the transmitting radio device. The report indicates that the antenna port is deemed faulty.
