A differential gear unit includes an annular ring gear having a rotational axis in an axial direction; side gears respectively distribute torque to drive shafts; differential pinion gears are rotatably arranged on a pinion pin, where the pinion gears respectively engage the side gears. A decoupling element inside the ring gear is rotatably arranged in relation to the ring gear. The pinion pin is connected to and extends diametrically across the decoupling element. A clutch sleeve slides relative to the ring gear and the decoupling element. The clutch sleeve, upon axial displacement, disconnects the ring gear from the decoupling element in a first position, allowing rotational movement of the decoupling element relative to the ring gear; connects the ring gear to the decoupling element in a second position, preventing the rotational movement of the decoupling element; and connects the ring gear to a park-lock structure in a third position.

A differential gear assembly for a vehicle includes: an annular ring gear having internal and external surfaces, and rotates around a rotational axis extending in an axial direction; first and second side gears respectively distribute a first and second output torque to first and second drive shafts; first and second differential pinion gears respectively engage the first and second side gears; a pinion pin extends diametrically across the ring gear, where the first and second differential pinion gears are rotatably arranged on the pinion pin. The ring gear comprises first and second slots for receiving the pinion pin, where the slots are arranged in connection to the internal surface and extend partly through the ring gear in the axial direction.

A synchronizer actuating system for use in an automated manual transmission or a dual clutch transmission includes an apply finger and a fork mounted on a shifting rail. The fork grips and actuates a synchronizer sleeve. A piston is operable to engage and actuate the apply finger. The piston has an opening with a dual frusto-conical inner surface. The opening receives an extension of the apply finger therein. The dual frusto-conical inner surface allows the apply finger to be engaged by the piston at the center of the piston even if the apply finger or shifting rail is bent relative to the piston.

Synchronizer actuating system

A synchronizer actuating system with selectives for use in dual clutch transmission is provided. The synchronizer actuating system includes an apply finger and a fork mounted on a shift rail. The fork grips a synchronizer sleeve that supports a synchronizer. The synchronizer is moveable to a neutral position. A three area piston assembly is operable to engage and actuate the apply finger. The three area piston assembly includes a hydraulic neutral position. A selective element is coupled to the synchronizer actuating system to calibrate the hydraulic neutral position of the three area piston assembly to the neutral position of the synchronizer sleeve.
