A heat transfer plate comprises a first end portion, a second end portion and a center portion arranged in succession along a longitudinal center axis of the plate. The center portion comprises a heat transfer area provided with a heat transfer pattern comprising support ridges and support valleys longitudinally extending parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the plate. The support ridges and support valleys are alternately arranged along a number of separated imaginary longitudinal straight lines extending parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the plate and along a number of separated imaginary transverse straight lines extending perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis of the plate. The heat transfer pattern further comprises turbulence ridges and turbulence valleys. At least a plurality of the turbulence ridges and turbulence valleys along at least a center portion of their longitudinal extension extend inclined relative to the transverse imaginary straight lines.

Heat transfer plate

A heat transfer plate comprises at least one first port hole area and opposing front and back sides, first and second planes defining the extension of the plate. Each first port hole area comprises a first port hole defined by an annular first inner edge of the plate, with the first inner edge consisting of first and second sections. Each first port hole area further comprises an annular first inner port portion extending along the first and second sections. The first inner port portion comprises, as seen from the front side of the plate, a number &#x2265;1 of first support projections along the second section of the first inner edge, each first support projections comprising a first top portion extending in the first plane. The plate extends, within the first inner port portion and outside first support projections, at a distance &#x2260;0 from the first and second planes.

Heat transfer plate and gasket

A heat transfer plate and a plate heat exchanger are provided. The heat transfer plate includes an edge portion extending along an edge of the heat transfer plate and being corrugated so as to include alternately arranged ridges and valleys as seen from a first side of the heat transfer plate. The ridges and valleys extend perpendicularly to the edge of the heat transfer plate, a first one of the ridges having a top portion extending in a top portion plane, and a first one of the valleys, which is adjacent to the first ridge, having a bottom portion extending in a bottom portion plane. The top portion of the first ridge and the bottom portion of the first valley are connected by a main flank and end, just like the main flank, at an end distance from the edge of the heat transfer plate. The heat transfer plate is characterized in that a slope of the main flank in relation to the bottom portion plane as seen from the bottom portion of the first valley is varying between a minimum slope and a maximum slope along the top portion of the first ridge and the bottom portion of the first valley.

Heat transfer plate and plate heat exchanger

A heat transfer plate has first and second long sides, with a transition area adjoining the distribution area along a first borderline and adjoining a heat transfer area along a second borderline. The transition area includes a transition pattern comprising transition projections and depressions, and first, second and third sub-areas successively arranged between the first/second border lines. An imaginary straight line extends between two end points of each transition projection with a smallest angle &#x3b1;, n=1, 2, 3 . . . relative to a longitudinal center axis of the plate. The smallest angle varies between transition projections within the second sub-area such that the smallest angle for at least a main part of the transition projections within the second sub-area is larger than the first angle &#x3b1;, and the smallest angle for a main part of the transition projections within the first sub-area is essentially equal to the first angle.

Heat transfer plate and plate heat exchanger comprising such a heat transfer plate

A heat exchanger plate, where the plate is provided with a heat transfer surface having a corrugated pattern with a plurality of ridges and valleys, and where the heat exchanger plate is provided with a plurality of guiding sections, and where each guiding section has a first guiding surface and a second guiding surface, where the first and second guiding surfaces are perpendicular to each other. A heat exchanger having a plurality of heat exchanger plates is also disclosed. The advantage of this heat exchanger plate is that it allows for an improved alignment of the heat exchanger plates.

Heat exchanger

The invention refers to a plate heat exchanger where the heat exchanger comprises a first flow channel between a first plate and a second plate, and where the flow channel comprises a lower distribution passage, a heat transfer passage and an upper distribution passage, where the heat transfer passage is vertically divided in a lower and an upper heat transfer passage and where the lower heat transfer passage is horizontally divided in a plurality of adjacent heat transfer zones, where the intermediate angle between the ridges and grooves in any of the heat transfer zones of the lower heat transfer passage is at least 30&#xb0; larger than the intermediate angle of the ridges and grooves of the upper heat transfer passage. The advantage of the invention is that an improved heat exchanger is provided, having an increased thermal performance and an improved evaporation capacity.

A heat exchanger plate, where the plate is provided with a heat transfer surface having a corrugated pattern, comprising a diagonal open and closed side distribution support section positioned between a diagonal open respectively closed groove and the heat transfer surface, and a diagonal open and closed side adiabatic support section positioned between the open respectively closed diagonal groove and a port hole, where the heat exchanger plate further comprises a transfer path between the diagonal open side distribution support section and the heat transfer surface and a bypass path between the diagonal closed side distribution support section and the heat transfer surface. A heat exchanger comprising a plurality of heat exchanger plates is also disclosed. The advantage of this heat exchanger plate is that it allows for heat exchangers with an improved efficiency.
