A multiple resistive exerciser having a hydraulic resistive element and an elastomeric resistive element that are mounted between a frame and a movable member. The hydraulic element and elastomeric element provide a combined resistive force that opposes movement of the movable member in one direction and the elastomeric element provides a force which tends to move the member in an opposite direction.

Adjustable, multiple resistive force exerciser

A hydraulic resistive apparatus that is used in exercise equipment includes a resistive device and a heat dissipating device. The resistive device includes a cylinder and a piston that are movable relative to one another. A working fluid is contained within the cylinder. The heat dissipating device is securely engaged to the outside of the cylinder and includes a tubular body having a plurality of cooling fins extending from its external surface. As heat is generated by the relative movement of the cylinder and piston, it is conducted to the heat dissipating device and then radiated into the surrounding environment. The body of the heat dissipating device includes a longitudinal slit that permits temporary opening of the body so as to permit it to be slid onto the cylinder and, when released, results in full surface-to-surface contact between the heat dissipating device and cylinder.

Hydraulic resistive apparatus for exercise equipment

An adjustable weight-lifting bench is disclosed adapted such that it can be converted from a flat to a sitting position with little or no displacement of the user's head and shoulders in relation to the stationary upright barbell supports. The bench seat frame is pivotally connected to the back frame, a second end of the seat frame is pivotally connected to one end of a support arm, and the second end of the support arm is pivotally connected to a base frame, together with means for releasably connecting the support arm to the back frame at different locations along the length of the support arm.

Adjustable weight-lifting bench

A sailboat with an inflatable compartment defining a hull and having a plurality of interconnected tubular members forming a support structure for a mast. A plurality of brackets are mounted to the hull for captively holding the tubular members in a substantially A-frame configuration. A sail is connected to the mast which is captively held to the support structure and hull.
