A local fleet connectivity system for identifying multiple machines. The system includes a plurality of connectivity modules. Each connectivity module is communicatively and physically coupled to one of a plurality of machines. Each connectivity module configured to communicate with the other connectivity modules via a network connection. The system further includes a user device configured to communicate with the connectivity modules via a network connection. In response to a user selection on an application hosted on the user device, two or more machines of the plurality of machines are identified by one or both of an audible signal or a visual signal.

Multiple machine identification system and method

A lift device includes a chassis, a platform, a lift assembly coupling the platform to the chassis, an actuator, a sensor assembly, and a controller. The sensor assembly includes a bar including a first end portion coupled to the platform and a second end portion opposite the first end portion, a receiver positioned to receive the second end portion of the bar, and a sensor configured to detect at least one of (a) the second end portion of the bar contacting the sensor or (b) the second end portion of the bar exiting the receiver. The controller is operatively coupled to the sensor and the actuator and configured to control the actuator based on a signal from the sensor.

Lift device with user contact sensor

A system may include a connectivity module communicatively and physically coupled to a work machine and a processing circuit configured to generate a profile corresponding to the connectivity module and the work machine. The processing circuit may include memory devices configured to store instructions that cause the one or more processors to: generate the profile corresponding to the work machine and the connectivity module, the profile initially comprising a base state; receive data indicative of one or more functionalities of the work machine; populate, after receiving the data indicative of the one or more functionalities of the work machine, the profile with entries that define a machine-specific state of the profile that facilitates data interpretation and collection related to the one or more functionalities of the work machine; and send the profile comprising the machine-specific state to the connectivity module.

System and method for conditional data reporting

A vehicle system includes a first vehicle, a second vehicle, and a control system. The first vehicle includes a first implement and a first actuator configured to facilitate controlling a first operation of the first implement. The second vehicle includes a second implement and a second actuator configured to control a second operation of the second implement. The control system is configured to receive an input from an operator, transmit a first signal to the first actuator based on the input to control the first operation of the first implement, and transmit a second signal to the second actuator based on the input to control the second operation of the second implement such that the first operation and the second operation are coordinated.

The system includes at least one control module communicably coupled with a first machine of the plurality of machines. A work site equipment grouping system includes a wireless worksite network including a plurality of communicatively connected nodes. The plurality of nodes includes a plurality of work machines configured to wirelessly communicate with other nodes. The system further includes an additional work machine configured to detect a first node of the plurality of communicatively connected nodes within a wireless signal range of the additional work machine and, upon detecting the first node, automatically join the wireless worksite network.

Automatic connection to work site equipment groupings

A worksite connection system includes a first machine including a first connectivity module, a second machine including a second connectivity module, and a third machine including a third connectivity module. When the first connectivity module and the second connectivity module are communicatively connected to provide a local wireless worksite network, the third connectivity module is configured to automatically join the local wireless worksite network when the third connectivity module is within a signal range of at least one of the first connectivity module or the second connectivity module.

A machine localization system includes a work machine including a chassis and an extendable implement, a first pressure sensor coupled to the work machine, a second pressure sensor located at a known elevation, and a computing system operably coupled to the work machine, the first pressure sensor, and the second pressure sensor. The computing system is configured to receive a first pressure reading from the first pressure sensor and a second pressure reading from the second pressure sensor, determine an elevation of the work machine based on at least the first pressure reading and the second pressure reading, determine a maximum operating height of the extendable implement based on at least the determined elevation, and configure the extendable implement to not exceed the maximum operating height.

Elevation based machine localization

A local fleet connectivity system includes a plurality of machines disposed at a location. Each of the plurality of machines include an implement and a prime mover configured to drive the implement. The system includes a connectivity hub configured to establish, via a connectivity module, a connection with the plurality of machines. The connectivity hub is configured to establish a connection with at least one remote server. The connectivity hub is configured to exchange data between the plurality of machines and the at least one remote server. The data flows through the connectivity hub.

An equipment identification system for identifying and operating one or more machines at a site. The system includes one or more connectivity modules, each connectivity module communicatively and physically coupled to one of the one or more machines. The system also includes a user device configured to communicate with the one or more connectivity modules via a network connection. In response to a user selection on an application hosted on the user device, one or more of the machines are identified by one or both of an audible signal or a visual signal.

Equipment identification system and method

A vehicle system includes a first machine with a first actuator and a first controller, a second machine with a second actuator and a second controller, and a user input system with a transceiver, a user interface, and a third controller. The user input system is configured to receive a user input via the user interface and provide a signal to both the first controller and the second controller. The first and second controllers are configured to send a first lag signal and a second lag signal, respectively, to the third controller. The first lag signal defines a first response time of the first machine and the second lag signal defines a second response time of the second machine. The third controller compares the first response time to the second response time to determine a lag time of the first machine and the second machine.

A lift device includes a chassis, tractive elements, a platform, a lift assembly, a first set of proximity sensors, and a controller. The tractive elements are rotatably coupled to the chassis and support the chassis. The platform is disposed above the chassis and includes a deck for supporting an operator. The lift assembly couples the platform to the chassis and can selectably move the platform between a lowered position and a raised position. The first set of proximity sensors are coupled to the platform and detect a distance of an obstacle relative to the platform. The controller is operably coupled with an alert system and receives obstacle detection data from the first set of proximity sensors. The controller selects a subset of the first set of proximity sensors to analyze based on an active function of the lift device and determines whether the obstacle is within the minimum allowable distance.

Systems and methods for restricting operation of a lift device

A lift device having an implement, a prime mover configured to drive the implement, and a connectivity module communicably coupled with the lift device. The connectivity module is configured to determine a parameter set relating to the lift device, receive a request to provide a status of the component of the lift device, receive a measure associated with the attribute of the component of the lift device, compare the received measure and the threshold measure associated with the attribute of the component of the lift device, and provide, based on the comparison, an indication in accordance with the indication characteristic representing the status of the component of the lift device.

Equipment visual status indicator system and method

A fall arrest system for use with a platform includes a harness configured to be worn by an operator, a first bracket and a second bracket configured to be coupled to the platform, a horizontal support including a first end portion coupled to the first bracket and a second end portion coupled to the second bracket, and a harness adapter coupled to the harness, the harness adapter defining an aperture that receives the horizontal support. The harness adapter is repositionable along a length of the horizontal support.

Fall arrest system

A method of determining a relative elevation of a work machine. The method includes receiving a first pressure reading from a first pressure sensor coupled to a chassis of a work machine and receiving a second pressure reading from a second pressure sensor. The method also includes calculating a first relative elevation of the chassis of the work machine relative to the second pressure sensor by comparing the first pressure reading to the second pressure reading.
