A lawn mower includes a seat plate movably coupled to the frame. An operator seat is coupled to the seat plate. An armrest is laterally spaced from the operator seat and includes an elongated support, an arm support surface, and a control panel. The elongated support has a first end fixed to the seat plate and a second end. The arm support surface is coupled to the second end and can support a user's arm. The control panel is positioned between the arm support surface and the second end of the elongated support. The control panel is fixed to the elongated support for movement with the seat plate such that the control panel remains stationary relative to the seat plate. The control panel includes an actuator to control a function of the lawn mower. The actuator is configured to be actuated while the user's arm is on the support surface.

A mulching insert for use with a lawn mower having a frame and a cutting deck supported by the frame, includes a molded, single-piece body configured to be received in the cutting deck. The body includes an attachment portion that is configured to be engaged by a portion of the lawn mower to removably mount the body to the cutting deck. The body defines a mulching chamber within the cutting deck that provides clearance for a cutting blade of the lawn mower.

A system for mounting a mulching insert to a lawn mower includes a cutting deck configured to receive the mulching insert and a spindle extending from the cutting deck. The spindle is configured to support a cutting blade for rotation relative to the cutting deck. The system also includes a spindle housing mounted to the cutting deck and surrounding the spindle. The system further includes a mounting member coupled to the spindle housing. The mounting member is configured to support the mulching insert within the cutting deck.

An implement with two independent transmissions drives a common output shaft. Each transmission is configured to rotatably drive the output shaft in a different direction to simplify changing the ground direction of the implement. Moreover, in a preferred embodiment, the transmissions are actuated by levers that provide infinitely variability of the implement's ground speed.

A bagging device for use on a lawnmower includes a frame, a bag attached to the frame and having a bag opening aligned with a discharge opening on the lawnmower, and at least one wheel rotatably mounted to the frame. During operation of the lawnmower, vegetation clippings from the lawnmower are collected in the bag. When the bagging device is mounted on the lawnmower, the at least one wheel is in a stowed condition and does not support any weight of the bagging device. The at least one wheel is generally at the top of the bagging device when the bagging device is attached to the lawnmower. When the bagging device is detached from the lawnmower, the bagging device is flipped or toppled over to position the at least one wheel at the bottom of the bagging device to facilitate rolling the bagging device away from the lawnmower.

A utility cart for lawn and garden applications and adapted for mounting on a lawnmower for catching vegetation clippings from the lawnmower. The cart includes at least one wheel that is in a stowed position when the cart is mounted on a lawnmower such that the at least one wheel bears no weight of the cart. The cart has substantially rigid walls and a handle movable between stowed and deployed positions. The handle pivots with respect to the cart by way of pins in a pivot slot and a guide slot. The slots include locking portions that receive the pins and prevent the handle from pivoting with respect to the cart to facilitate hauling items in the cart and to facilitate lifting the cart off of a lawnmower.
