Among other things, a method for transporting radiation to a body region is described, wherein, in a first step, a canal is formed up to the body region to be irradiated and wherein, in a second step, an applicator () which is fitted to the diameter of the canal is introduced into the canal in order to guide a probe tip. Advantageously, applicator () is formed for use with a radiation therapy device for producing a defined radiation dose for irradiating a body region, whereby applicator () has a base body () with a foot region () for the uptake of at least one component of a radiation therapy device (), a cylindrical guide region () connecting thereto for the uptake of a probe tip of a radiation therapy device, whereby a transition region () is formed between the foot region () and the guide region (), as well as a head region (), which is formed at the distal end () of base body (). The method can be utilized especially for the treatment of tumors in the vertebral column.

Method for transporting radiation, applicator as well as radiation therapy device

A method of generating and/or providing data () for tissue treatment, in particular a tumor treatment, via a low-energy irradiation appliance () is described. Herein, the low-energy irradiation appliance () has a radiation source () for generating soft radiation, preferably of a radiation with a spectrum from 0 to a maximal radiation energy of 100 keV, in particular a radiation with a spectrum from 0 to a maximal radiation energy of 50 keV and an emitting device () for emitting the radiation to tissue, which is to be irradiated. The method is characterized by the following steps: physical data of the radiation source () is determined directly from leaving the emitting device (); quality data of the tissue, for example the tumor tissue and/or the tissue () in the vicinity of the tumor, is determined; physical property data of the determined tissue is determined in connection with the radiation of the radiation source (). Data () for the tissue treatment, for example the tumor treatment, is generated from the determined data and/or the determined data is provided for generating data for the tissue treatment, in particular tumor treatment.

Method of generating and/or providing data for tissue treatment

Among other things, an applicator means () for x-ray radiation therapy for the irradiation of surfaces, as well as a radiation therapy device are described, having an applicator element () for taking up a probe tip or a radiation source element of a radiation source means (). In order to further develop applicator means () in such a way that it is especially suitable also for the irradiation of surfaces, it is provided that applicator element () for adjusting different beam characteristics has at least one element () for influencing the beam, in particular a lens element, which is disposed in an exchangeable manner at/in applicator element (). In addition, an advantageous fastening means is described, by means of which applicator means () can be attached and fixed on the surface to be treated.
