A method of predicting a vibration event is comprised of the following: time stamping a set of vibration events initiated by a processor adapted to control when a vibration source is activated relative to a sample event; recording a vibration action for each event in the set of vibration events including at least one of a sampling solution type, a vibration element type, a proximity of a vibration element to a sample element, a sample mode, a time to a next sample event, or a degree of solution activity; and predicting at least one of a type or a time of a next vibration action based on the vibration action record.

Mitigating impact of ion buildup on pH sensor

A controller for a pH probe that has a first interface for controlling a pH probe. Controlling the pH probe includes adjusting pH sampling. A second interface of the controller for pH probe is for controlling a source of vibration of the pH probe. The controller for a pH probe also includes a processor coordinating operation of the source of vibration and the pH probe. The processor is adapted to control, via the second interface, at least one of the following: when the source of vibration is activated relative to when a sample of pH is taken by the pH probe; vibration amplitude; vibration duration; or delay between vibration.
