A hybrid sacrificial galvanic anode, an anodic system including the hybrid sacrificial anode, and a method of cathodically protecting steel reinforcement in concrete structures is provided. The hybrid anode provides initial steel polarization followed by long term galvanic protection without the use of batteries or external power supplies.

Galvanic anode and method of corrosion protection

A sealer composition for a cementitious substrate, a cementitious structure sealed with the sealer composition, and a method of sealing a steel reinforced cementitious structure with the sealer composition. The sealer composition includes a substantially non-aqueous blend of a first silane, a second silane having a higher molecular weight than the first silane, and a corrosion inhibitor. The corrosion inhibitor is soluble in silane, soluble in solvent-diluted silane, and at least partially soluble in water. The cementitious structure includes a cementitious substrate and the sealer applied to the surface of the substrate and at least partially penetrating into the substrate. The method of sealing a steel reinforced cementitious structure from intrusion of corrosion-causing agents includes applying the sealer to the surface of a steel reinforced cementitious substrate and permitting the sealer composition to penetrate into the substrate to seal the substrate.

Surface applied corrosion inhibitor

A sacrificial galvanic anode, an anodic assembly including the sacrificial anode, and a method of cathodically protecting steel reinforcement in concrete structures from corrosion is provided. The sacrificial galvanic anode comprises at least one sacrificial metal helical coil. The galvanic anode is easily fabricated and occupies a minimum volume within a steel reinforced concrete structure while providing maximum surface area for sacrificial corrosion.

An admixture formulation of at least one polycarboxylate dispersant and at least one naphthalene dispersant is provided. When the polycarboxylate dispersant and the naphthalene dispersant of the admixture formulation are combined at various ratios the admixture formulation reduces the tendency for bleed and segregation in cementitious mixtures without increasing water demand, retarding setting, increasing water sensitivity, promoting high viscosity, or reducing flow retention.

Rheology stabilizer for cementitious compositions

An insulated composite material for structural reinforcement applications is provided. The insulated composite material includes a fiber reinforced composite material and a cementitious insulating layer applied over the composite material. Also provided is a structural member reinforced with the insulated composite material and a method of reinforcing a structural member with the insulated composite material.

Insulated composite reinforcement material

A method of making a grout composition which reduces the amount of bleed water from grout used in bonded post-tensioned concrete applications is provided. The method includes forming the grout composition by combining copolymers with other materials into a hydraulic cementitious composition. The copolymers are formed from structural components a) to c) and optionally d) which are mono-unsaturated compounds, with a generally linear macromolecular structure. By reducing the amount of bleed water in bonded post-tensioned concrete applications the grout composition provides protection from corrosion for the steel members, including stranded tendons and solid bars. The reduction in the amount of bleed water is achieved without significantly increasing the viscosity of the grout mixture thereby allowing good pumpability, placement, and maintenance of other properties such as resistance to volume change, long working time and acceptable strength development.
