An article supporting apparatus including a bracket which can be selectively placed and locked onto a supporting standard. A shelf, or other article holding device, is connected to the bracket. The bracket includes a U-shaped clip with transversely offset extending arms at the ends of the clip and longitudinally extending legs at the opposite ends of the arms. One of the legs includes an offset portion which lies in the same plane as the U-shaped clip. The standard includes three spaced apart bars positioned so that when the arms of the bracket sit on the middle bar, the bight of the U-shaped clip will be securely retained behind the upper bar and the legs of the bracket will straddle the lower bar. The bracket can be easily removed and repositioned at another location on the standard.

Article supporting apparatus

A convertible cart having a shelf and readily assemblable and disassemblable partition members. The cart includes a frame on which the shelf is mounted and casters are included for providing mobility to the cart. The partition which may be in the form of a bottom mat, a back mat, side panels and intermediate panels, are made of rod-like members formed in a grid pattern and which include couplings that permit their interconnection and their convenient assembly and disassembly to and from the frame. The use of conventional fasteners for assembling and disassembling the panels with respect to each other and with respect to the frame is avoided.

In a rolling cart assembly, a smooth bumper assembly is provided that minimizes the likelihood of trapping dirt, grime, or the like. Corner bumper members having a smooth, uncrimped outer surface are provided with integral stiffening members and internally secured nuts so that the corner bumper members may be secured to a support frame by fasteners that extend in an outwardly direction from the inside surface of the support frame. Since the nuts are completely enclosed by the corner bumper members, the outside surface thereof are smooth and unbroken. Stiffening members may be co-molded or otherwise suitably formed integrally with and interiorly of the corner bumper members. Longitudinally extending side and end bumper strips are formed with an opening therein in order to receive V-shaped stiffening members. The side and end bumper strips are also secured to the support frame by fasteners that extend in an outward direction from the inside surface of the support frame so that the outside surface of the side and end bumper strips are also smooth and unbroken.

Bumper assembly for a rolling cart

A cart is disclosed comprising a pair of laterally spaced apart, generally S-shaped side frame members that are joined by transversely oriented connecting rods. In one embodiment, a pair of connecting rods is provided for the upper, the middle, and the lower sections of each side frame member. In an alternative embodiment, only the upper and lower sections are provided with a pair of connecting rods while the middle section is provided with a single connecting rod. In the first mentioned embodiment, a platform is releasably mounted on each pair of connecting rods of each section of the side frame members, in order to support tote boxes, food trays, or the like. In a modification of the first embodiment, the connecting rods may be of double length so that a pair of platforms may be supported at each of the three levels with the pair of platforms at each level being in side-by-side relationship. In the second embodiment, the upper platform is a plate having openings therein for receiving perforated, flanged containers for silverware. The lower platform is a wire frame releasably engaging the two connecting rods that join the lower side frame sections. A back wall, engaging the single middle section connecting rod, is integral with the lower platform. As in the first mentioned embodiment, the connecting rods in the second embodiment may be of double length in order to support pairs of platforms in side-by-side relationship.
