A ram air module for use in a ram air system, the ram air module includes a diffuser having a diffuser body including an inlet end and an outlet end, a flow diverter assembly connected to the inlet end of the diffuser body, and a valve connected to the outlet end of the diffuser body.

Ram exhaust module

A duct is provided and includes a tubular member having an inlet portion, an outlet portion and a central portion interposed between the inlet and outlet portions and a tributary tubular member fluidly coupled to the tubular member at the central portion. The tributary tubular member includes first and second torus sectors defining first and second apertures, respectively, through which an upstream end of the central portion extends. The second torus sector is disposed within the first torus sector to define a sectioned toroidal annulus about the first and second apertures and between an exterior surface of the second torus sector and an interior surface of the first torus sector.

Low pressure pack

An air cycle machine includes a housing, a duct, a bypass valve, and a plug. The duct extends from and connects two different portions of the housing and includes a first port and a second port. The first port is attached to the first inlet of the housing. The second duct is attached to the second inlet of the housing. The bypass valve is inserted into one of the first port and second port of the duct. The plug is inserted into the other of the first port and second port that the bypass valve is not inserted into. Both the first port and the second port are capable of receiving and forming a sealing interface with both of the bypass valve and the plug.

Air cycle machine with handed turbine bypass

A heat exchanger assembly for an aircraft with an environmental control system includes first and second heat exchangers, a closure bar, and a drain manifold. The first heat exchanger is in fluid communication with a source of bleed air from the aircraft. The second heat exchanger has a second hot air circuit passing through the second heat exchanger and is disposed adjacent to and in fluid communication with the first heat exchanger. The closure bar is disposed between the first and second heat exchangers such that the closure bar prevents fluid communication across the closure bar between the first and second heat exchangers. The drain manifold is mounted to a sidewall of the heat exchanger assembly. A channel of the drain manifold is in fluid communication with a surface of the closure bar.

An isolation valve comprising: a housing having an internal surface within the housing, the internal surface having a first outlet and second outlet; an air gate having an outward face opposite the internal surface, the air gate located within the housing and configured to move to at least one of a first position blocking flow to the first outlet, a neutral position blocking flow to neither the first outlet nor second outlet, and a second position blocking flow to the second outlet; a seal groove located on the outward face of the air gate; a seal located within seal groove, the seal configured to form a sealed connection with the internal surface around at least one of the first outlet when in the first position and the second outlet when in the second position; and a retainer configured to secure the seal within the seal groove using a fastening mechanism.

A ram air fan and fan bypass shutoff check valve assembly includes a ram air fan configured to draw an airflow through a fan inlet, and a ram fan bypass duct positioned downstream of the ram air fan. The ram fan bypass duct includes a valve assembly configured to selectably direct the airflow through the ram air fan when the valve assembly is in an open position, and direct the airflow through a bypass duct thereby bypassing the ram air fan when the valve assembly is in a closed position.

An environmental control system assembly for an aircraft includes a heat exchanger assembly and a plenum. The heat exchanger assembly includes a first heat exchanger in fluid communication with a source of bleed air, a second heat exchanger disposed adjacent to the first, a third heat exchanger disposed adjacent to the second, and an end sheet. The first heat exchanger includes a first endwall, a first inlet header, a first outlet header, and a first endcap located on the first outlet header. The third heat exchanger includes a third endwall, a third inlet header connected to the third endwall, a third outlet header, and a third endcap located on the third inlet header. The end sheet includes the first, second, and third endwalls. The plenum fluidly connects the first outlet header of the first heat exchanger to the third inlet header of the third heat exchanger.

A heat exchanger assembly for an aircraft includes a first heat exchanger with a first hot air circuit, a second heat exchanger with a second hot air circuit, a third heat exchanger with a third hot air circuit, and a cold circuit. The first heat exchanger is in fluid communication with a source of bleed air from the engine. The second heat exchanger is disposed adjacent to and in fluid communication with the first heat exchanger. The third heat exchanger is disposed adjacent to and in fluid communication with the second heat exchanger. The first, second, and third heat exchangers are fluidly connected in series. The cold air circuit passes through each of the first, second, and third heat exchangers. The first, second, and third heat exchangers are in cross-flow communication with the cold air circuit.

An air supply manifold includes an outer duct, a first inner duct, and a second inner duct. The outer duct is configured to transfer a fluid from the outer duct inlet to the outer duct outlet and includes an outer duct inlet and an outer duct outlet. The first inner duct inlet and outlet are disposed outside of the outer duct. The second inner duct includes a second inner duct outlet and inlet fluidly connected to the first inner duct.
