A monitoring system includes a wireless identification tag and interrogator. The tag includes memory that stores information associated with a person or object associated with the wireless identification tag. The interrogator wirelessly transmits an interrogation signal, which includes a sequence of interrogation codes, to the wireless identification tag. If one of the interrogation codes is associated with the wireless identification tag, the tag wirelessly transmits an acknowledgment signal associated with the tag. The interrogator receives the acknowledgment signal, which indicates that the wireless identification tag has been monitored within an area. A method of monitoring a person or object within a defined area includes the steps of storing information in a wireless identification tag; transmitting an interrogation signal; receiving the interrogation signal by the tag; determining whether an interrogation code in the received interrogation signal is associated with the tag and, if so, transmitting an acknowledgment signal.

System and method for monitoring individuals and objects associated with wireless identification tags

A wireless high speed data communication system having a host radio station connected to a source of data. The host radio station transmits data to a radio repeater that is within a line of sight. The communication system may include numerous repeaters each of which is configured to communicate with each other within a line of sight. The repeaters are also configured to communicate with users by a direct electrical connection and a line of sight wireless connection. The users may also be electrically connected to a local area network for further distribution of the data.

A scannable antenna array especially suited for aircraft having a common reflector and a plurality of spaced apart end-fired Yagi type elements each comprising a driver and one or more director segments spaced mutually from each other and the driver in the direction of the field pattern for the array. In the preferred embodiment, the driver is a dipole comprised of two laterally extending hooked-back radiating segments so dimensioned and spaced from the director elements so as to minimize the mutual electromagnetic coupling among elements of the array. In other embodiments, the driver may comprise a slot.

An electronically scanned antenna system having a linear array of endfire elements. The endfire elements are laterally spaced between about 0.3 .lambda. to 0.9 .lambda. apart, preferably about 0.55 .lambda. apart, to enhance the effects of mutual coupling therebetween for broadening the radiation signal pattern of the elements in the plane of the array. Advantageously, the endfire elements may be of the Yagi type with each endfire element including a common reflector, a driver, and a plurality of directors.

An antenna system is provided having a common reflector and a plurality of spaced apart end-fired yagi type elements each comprising a driver and one or more directors. The elements are positioned longitudinally parallel to each other in separate planes. Adjustable parasitic reflecting rods are located adjacent to the elements so as to cause the generation of a low energy scattering field which, in turn, increases inter-element isolation.

A multi PRF doppler radar processor system for airborne target search radar preferably using five PRF's. The received signal is processed through a bank of doppler filters, and the filter number and PRF of every target indication in a single range band is memorized. When indications have been made at two different PRF's, the first and second data sets are processed. The first data set is used to determine a doppler band shift value, .DELTA.f, required to bring the center of a velocity band, A.sub.1, to the center of the filter band, and this same .DELTA.f is applied to the second data set, from which the corresponding velocity band, A.sub.2 is determined. The velocity bands A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 are converted by use of the Chinese Ramainder Theorem to an unambiguous velocity band Au. The original frequency shift .DELTA.f is applied to the center frequency of Au to determine the unambiguous doppler frequency of the target.
