A method for automated enrollment and activation of a mobile telematics system comprising receiving a customer data record of a customer at a communication services database, determining a command signal based on the customer data record, sending the command signal to a telematics unit of a vehicle, enrolling the customer in a telematics-unit access system based on the command signal and activating the telematics unit of the telematics-unit access system based on the command signal.

Automated enrollment and activation of telematics equipped vehicles

The present invention provides a system and method for providing user-selected telematics services in a mobile vehicle. The method includes accessing a menu of available telematics services and selecting a desired telematics service. The method also includes determining a telematics service fee based on the user selected service and paying the user selected telematics service fee via remote resource. The method further includes receiving the selected telematics service.

Method and system for providing user-selected telematic services

The current invention provides a system and method for providing status data for vehicle maintenance. A GPS location trigger is monitored for at a telematics unit. Communication between the telematics unit and a call center is initiated responsive to the GPS location trigger. Status data is sent from the vehicle to the call center through the telematics unit. At least a portion of the status data is sent from the call center to a service center associated with the GPS location trigger. A computer usable medium with suitable computer program code is employed for providing status data for vehicle maintenance.
