##STR1## A compound of general formula (I), wherein X=CH.sub.2, O, S or NR.sup.4, and Y=formula (II): where R.sup.1 =H, lower alkyl or an aryloxyalkyl group, wherein the aryl group is optionally substituted by alkyl, alkoxy, hydrogen, alkyl substituted by hydrogen, and n is an integer between 0 and 5, and Z=O, S or NR.sup.2 ; wherein R.sup.2 =H, lower alkyl, hydroxy, amino cyano or acyl, R.sup.3 =H, or lower alkyl, and R.sup.4 =H, lower alkyl, or lower acyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

1,2,3,4,10,14b-hexahydrodibenzo[c,f]pyrazino-[1,2-a]azepino derivatives

3,5-Diamino-6-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,4-triazine isethionate is provided. This salt has high water solubility and thus advantageously allows parenteral administration in the form of a sterile aqueous solution suitable for injection.

Triazine salt

Compounds of formula (I) ##STR1## inhibit both the cyclo-oxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways of arachidonic acid oxygenation and are useful in medicine as, e.g., anti-inflammatory and anti-asthmatic agents. The compounds may be administered as the raw chemical or in association with a carrier as a pharmaceutical formulation. The compounds may be prepared by methods analogous to those known in the art, e.g., by the method of Duffin and Kendall in J. Chem. Soc. (1954), 408-415, or by other methods.

Use of 3-(arylmethyleneamino)-1-aryl-2-pyrazolines in the prophylaxis

Heterocyclic compounds of formula (I) and acid addition salts thereof inhibit arachidonic acid oxygenation and are useful in medicine, for example as anti-inflammatory agents. ##STR1## The compounds of formula (I) may be prepared by any method analogous to those known in the art, for example by the method of G. F. Duffin and J. D. Kendall in J. Chem. Soc. (1954), 408-415. When used in medicine, the compounds of formula (I) may be administered as the compound alone or as a pharmaceutical formulation together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

3-Amino-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolines

Heterocyclic compounds of formula (I) ##STR1## and their acid addition salts, when administered topically, exhibit anti-inflammatory activity and do not produce the side-effects associated with the administration of certain other anti-inflammatories. The compounds of formula (I) may be administered topically as the compound alone or in a suitable topical pharmaceutical formulation.

Arthropodicidal imidazoline derivatives

Compounds containing the N-m-methoxybenzyl-N,N-dimethyl-N-2-hydroxyethylammonium cation and non-toxic salts of the N-m-methoxybenzyl-N,N-dimethyl-N-ethylammonium cation. The compounds have antiarrhythmic properties, and are useful specifically as antifibrillatory agents.
