A method for determining a membrane property of an analyte sensor that has at least two measurement electrodes and at least one of the measurement electrodes has a membrane having the membrane property. The method includes generating a fast-transient voltage signal and applying the fast-transient voltage signal to the measurement electrodes. A response signal is measured, and the membrane property is determined by evaluating the response signal.

Method for determining at least one membrane property of an analyte sensor

A method for storing measurement data detected by a sensor and indicative of an analyte in a body fluid sample using a system having a processor and a memory. First and second measurement data indicative of first and second measurement values measured by a sensor, respectively, are provided. A relative measurement value is determined by the processor and is indicative of a value difference between the first and second measurement values. The first measurement value is stored in a first storage area having a first storage size in the memory. The relative measurement value is stored in a second storage area having a second storage size in the memory that is smaller than the first storage size. Disclosed is an analyte measuring patch for invasive measuring a concentration of an analyte, in particular glucose. The analyte measuring patch includes a sensor with a working electrode (), a counter electrode () and a reference electrode). The patch further includes an electronics unit with a microcontroller () and a current measurement unit. The microcontroller () includes a control output (DAC), a first analogue input (ADC-) and a second analogue input (ADC-). The control output (DAC) is operatively coupled with a control electrode, the control electrode being either of the working electrode or () or the counter electrode (). The first analogue input (ADC-) is operatively coupled with a measurement electrode via the current measurement unit, the measurement electrode being either of the working electrode () or the counter electrode (). The second analogue input (ADC-) is operatively coupled with the reference electrode (). The microcontroller () is configured to control, by providing a control voltage to the control output (DAC), a potential difference between the working electrode () and the counter electrode () to equal a predefined polarization voltage.

Flow detector

Disclosed is a supervision device () for supervising liquid drug flow in a flow channel (). The supervision device () includes a flow detector (), arranged for operatively coupling with the flow channel () and generating a flow detector signal in dependence of a flow in the flow channel () at a flow detection location. The supervision device () further includes a gas detector (), arranged for operatively coupling with the flow channel () and generating a gas detector signal in dependence of whether liquid drug or gas is present in the flow channel () at a gas detection location at a distance upstream from the flow detection location. The supervision device () further includes a processing unit () in operative coupling with the flow detector () and the gas detector (), wherein the processing unit () is configured to determine, based on the gas detector signal, whether non-flowing liquid drug is present at the flow detection location or a gas bubble passes the flow detector if the flow detector signal does not indicate a liquid drug flow.

A puncturing system includes a carrier tape carrying multiple lancets and having position marks, a housing comprising a conveying facility for positioning the lancets and a housing opening, a puncturing drive for accelerating a lancet positioned in a usage position, a storage medium for storing distance values that depend on distances between the lancets of the carrier tape and position marks allocated to the respective lancets, a sensor for detecting position marks in a detection position through which the position marks proceed upon motion of the carrier tape, and a control unit that controls the conveying facility. To position a lancet in the usage position, the control unit stops the conveying facility upon the carrier tape moving a positioning distance. The length of the positioning distance depends on the distance between the lancet to be positioned and the detected position mark and is determined by the control unit.

There is disclosed a method for controlling a photometric measuring unit of a measuring device for a bodily fluid sample, wherein a test field partially wetted by a bodily fluid sample is illuminated and light from a measuring area that covers a portion of the test field of the measuring unit is fed to a detector of the measuring unit, and the measuring area is displaced relative to the test field toward a partial surface wetted by the fluid sample and past the partial surface. The intensity of a detector signal is detected during the displacement, an extreme value in the course of the detector signal is determined, the measuring area is brought back to the position in which an extreme detector signal was previously measured, and the position of the measuring area in which the detector signal is extreme is used for a photometric determination of concentration.

The invention relates to embodiments of an analysis system and to a method for analyzing a sample on an analytical test element, with the analysis system comprising a test element receptacle for receiving and positioning a test element in an analysis position. In an exemplary embodiment, the test element receptacle contains a guide part and a lock part, the guide part having means for guiding a test element into and out of the analysis position, the lock part comprising a frame and a bolt element, which frame and bolt element are connected to one another by a hinge. The bolt element can be pivoted about the hinge between a first position and a second position with respect to the frame. The bolt element comprises a latching lug for engaging in a recess in test element when the bolt element is in the first position and when the test element is positioned in the analysis position.
