A method for generating a mapping of dental occlusion generates a three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth according to acquired image data. The maxillary and mandibular arches are positioned in opposition in the generated model of the patient's teeth and a meal model generated having characteristics of a foam material. A pressure field distribution for the generated meal model is calculated for one or more pairs of opposed teeth from the generated three-dimensional model of the patient's teeth. The calculated pressure field distribution can be displayed.

Dentition occlusion mapping using elastic foam modeling

Method for detecting anomalies during the filling of a liquid metering device with a liquid to be measured out, said metering device comprising at least one suction member and at least one pressure monitoring means arranged for measuring a pressure in relation to said suction member. The detection method comprises steps consisting of: performing a prior pressure calibration of the filling of the device, calculating for a desired volume a tolerance range having an upper limit and a lower limit on the basis of the prior pressure calibration and checking whether the pressure remains within the tolerance range during the filling of the metering device with the liquid to be measured out.

Occlusion mapping using elastic foam modeling

A pipette is provided. The pipette includes a body, a piston, and a valve. The body includes a nozzle, a first chamber, a second chamber, and a channel formed in the nozzle. The first chamber is isolated from the second chamber, and the channel is isolated from the first chamber and the second chamber. The piston is mounted to slide within the first chamber and the second chamber so that movement of the piston simultaneously increases a first volume of the first chamber and decreases a second volume of the second chamber. The valve is in communication with the first chamber, the second chamber, the channel, and an exterior of the body to selectively provide a communication between the first chamber and the channel, between the second chamber and the channel, between the first chamber and the exterior of the body, and between the second chamber and the exterior of the body.

Pipette providing sampling via back-and-forth movement of the piston

A system for determining a viscosity of a fluid is provided. The system includes an intake chamber, a tube, a piston, an actuator, a sensor, and a processor. The tube communicates with the intake chamber and includes a channel including a cylindrical portion with a constant diameter cross section. The piston is mounted in the intake chamber. The actuator is configured to move the piston within the intake chamber at a constant speed during a time window to regulate a fluid in the cylindrical portion. The sensor is configured to measure a pressure a plurality of times during the time window to define a plurality of pressure measurements. The processor is configured to receive the defined plurality of pressure measurements, to determine a slope associated with the received plurality of pressure measurements, and to determine a viscosity of the fluid based on the determined slope.

System for measuring viscosity

A multivolume pipette is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the multivolume pipette includes a pipette body, a piston disposed within the pipette body, a first chamber, a second chamber, and a valve. The first chamber and the second chamber are defined at least in part by an inner wall of the pipette body and the piston. The valve is capable of placing the second chamber in fluid communication with an external environment to provide a first volume range of the multivolume pipette. The valve is also capable of placing the second chamber in fluid communication with the first chamber to provide a second volume range of the multivolume pipette.
