A fire extinguisher includes a body defining a storage chamber containing an extinguishing agent, a gas generator configured to pressurize the extinguishing agent in order to dispense it outside the body through an exit opening. The exit opening is equipped with a misting nozzle, and the extinguishing agent has a solidification temperature less than &#x2212;10&#xb0; C., the saturating vapor concentration of the extinguishing agent taken at &#x2212;10&#xb0; C. and at 1 bar being less than the extinguishing concentration of the extinguishing agent determined according to the ISO 14520 standard for a heptane fire at 1 bar.

A method for delivering a liquid contained in a reservoir, the reservoir having a port for delivering the liquid which is closed off by a blow-out disk that is removable at a threshold pressure applied to the liquid, includes: the combustion of a pyrotechnic charge to generate combustion gases, the pressurization of the liquid by the combustion gases, and the removal of the removable blow-out disk from the delivery port and the delivery of the pressurized liquid. The flow rate of generated combustion gases during the delivery of the liquid ensures virtually constant pressurization of the liquid and thus the delivery of the liquid at a virtually constant flow rate. The pressure of the liquid during the delivery of the liquid varying only by a maximum of +/&#x2212;30% with respect to its initial value at the time at which the blow-out disk is removed.

A pyrotechnic gas generator for driving an actuator includes a body defining a combustion chamber housing a main pyrotechnic charge, and an ignitor for initiating combustion of the main pyrotechnic charge. The pyrotechnic gas generator includes at least one delay chamber adapted to communicate with the combustion chamber via at least one inlet orifice, and the delay chamber is provided with at least one outlet orifice for passing gas out from the gas generator. The at least one outlet orifice is provided with a seal adapted to pass from a closed state to an open state when the pressure inside the delay chamber reaches a rupture limit pressure.

Pyrotechnical gas generator

A pyrotechnic charge for a pyrotechnic gas generator includes a plurality of blocks made of pyrotechnic material stacked in layers, each block being defined by two main faces that are substantially orthogonal to the stacking direction. In this pyrotechnic charge, each layer of the stack includes at least two distinct blocks of pyrotechnic material, each forming an angular sector of a ring or of a disk, the blocks being assembled together to form a ring and/or a disk.
