A cleaning system has a base unit and a separably connected accessory device. The base unit has a detection device for detecting the type of accessory device connected to the base unit, a base memory and a control device for controlling an operating activity of the base unit and/or the accessory device depending on the type of connected accessory device. The accessory device has a configuration memory, in which configuration data for configuring the base unit and/or the accessory device for an operation of the cleaning system is stored. The control device of the base unit reads the configuration data stored in the configuration memory and stores this configuration data centrally in the base memory. The control device accesses the configuration data stored in the base memory for an operation of the cleaning system and adjusts the base unit and/or the accessory device based on the configuration data.

Cleaning system comprising a base unit and at least one accessory device

A system has a floor processing device, a memory device and at least one accessory device for detachable connection with the floor processing device. The floor processing device has an acquisition device for acquiring the type of accessory device currently connected with the floor processing device, a user interface for receiving an operating specification for an operating parameter from a user, and a controller for controlling an operating activity according to the set operating parameter. The controller stores the operating parameter used last for a first operating activity together with information about the type of accessory device in the memory device and, after the accessory device has been disconnected from the floor processing device and then reconnected with the floor processing device, to access the stored operating parameter, and reset this operating parameter for a second operating activity to be performed chronologically after the first operating activity.

A series connection having multiple safety switches. Here, the series connection includes wiring connecting the safety switches. The safety switches can output signals. Depending on the registration of these signals by additional safety switches of the series connection it will be detected whether the wiring is laid out for connecting a master, and whether such a master is connected. Depending on this, the operation of the safety switches is predetermined.

A safety switch () having an input/output structure and means for generating a switching signal. Depending on the switching signal, the operation of the system can be released. The input/output structure forms means of connection for connecting a start button (). By manually actuating the start button (), an acknowledgment signal for releasing the system is generated. The means of connection are detected automatically in the safety switch ().

A safety switch () having a reading head () and an actuator () having a transponder () and being movable relative to the reading head (). Encoded signals of the transponder () are detectable by means of the reading head (). As a means for detecting encoded signals, the reading head () has a resonant circuit () controlled by a processor unit, with the distance between the actuator () and reading head () being determined by means of an amplitude evaluation of the signals of the transponder () detected with the resonant circuit (). Control signals are generated as a function of the distance signals thus determined.
