The invention concerns the use of an aqueous suspension of solid particles of a calcium/magnesium compound of formula (A): nCa(OH).mCaCO.aMgO.bMg(OH).cMgCO.I as an agent regulating the breaking of a bitumen emulsion. The invention also concerns a bituminous road material obtained by mixing a solid mineral fraction with a cationic bitumen emulsion of the type binder in water, characterised in that it involves adding, to the mineral fraction, an aqueous suspension of solid particles of a calcium/magnesium compound of formula (A). The invention also concerns a method for preparing a material according to the invention and the use of same for producing surface courses, tack coats or temporary surface courses. The invention finally concerns a method for obtaining a tack coat by spreading a cationic bitumen emulsion, comprising a step of applying an aqueous suspension of solid particles of a calcium/magnesium compound of formula (A).

The present invention relates to a process for producing cold bituminous mixes, comprising the following successive steps: a. in a mixer, coating, at ambient temperature, all of the solid mineral fractions with all of the binder in emulsion, and optionally a portion of fluxing agent, over a time interval T sufficient to observe a coating of the mix; then b. at the end of the time interval T, adding the remaining amount of fluxing agent, over a time interval t, such that the T/t ratio is greater than 2, the other mixing conditions of steps a) and b) being otherwise substantially identical. The present invention also relates to cold bituminous mixes, capable of being obtained by the process according to the invention and the use thereof for the production of wearing courses, the production of emulsion-stabilized gravels or the production of storage-grade mixes.

The invention relates to a synthetic binder characterized in that said binder includes: from 20 wt % to 100 wt % of at least one polyester based essentially on material from renewable resources, in particular of vegetable origin, having: a hydroxyl number below 100 mg KOH/g, an acid number below 25 mg KOH/g, an iodine number below 100 g I/100 g, and from 0 wt % to 80 wt % of at least one natural or modified resin from renewable resources, in particular of vegetable origin.

Described is the use, for preparing or treating bituminous compositions, of at least one compound selected among: esters of glycolic, lactic and gluconic acids, methylic, ethylic and isobutylic esters of glutaric, succinic and adipic acids, and ethers or esters of a product resulting from internal dehydration of a sugar, preferably a hydrogenated sugar. Also described is a method for preparing or treating such compositions and the resulting compositions.
