A method for repairing a blade forming a cathode and having a surface to be coated defining a critical area, utilizing an anode, an electrolyte bath including insoluble particles, and a mounting on which the blade is mounted in a working position relative to a reference wall. The mounting is placed in the bath, and the particles and the metal of the anode are co-deposited to form the coating on the surface to be coated. The anode is typically placed facing the critical area and the mounting includes a mechanism for monitoring current lines to obtain a coating with a relatively constant, predetermined thickness for the critical area, that gradually falls to a value of substantially zero along edges of the coating.

Method and an assembly for electrolytically depositing a coating

The invention relates to the field of methods of depositing a material on a substrate. It relates to a method of depositing, onto a substrate, a material that acts as a thermal barrier and that prior to deposition is in powder form. The powder is introduced into the plasma jet of a first plasma torch and into the plasma jet of at least one second plasma torch, the first plasma torch and at least the second plasma torch being disposed in an enclosure and oriented in such a manner that their plasma jets cross, so as to create a resultant plasma jet in which the powder is vaporized, the substrate being placed on the axis of the resultant plasma jet.

Method of depositing a thermal barrier by plasma torch

The invention relates to a novel self-lubricating solid material; to a method of preparing such a material from a powder mixture; to said powder mixture; and to mechanical parts made of said novel material. Said powder mixture comprises a powder of a metal alloy that is a precursor for the matrix of said material, particles of a first solid lubricant such as CeFthat are for insertion in said matrix without reacting with said metal alloy, and particles of a second solid lubricant such as WSor MoSfor reacting with a component of said metal alloy during sintering of the powder to form a lubricating phase. A process for resurfacing a monocrystalline or directionally solidified metallic piece, having a thickness (W), in which a laser beam and a flux of metallic powder, whereof the nature is the same as that of the metallic piece, is applied to the piece to produce at least one layer of metal, monocrystalline or directionally solidified, from the piece, the laser beam being sent out at a power 'P', and moving along the piece at a speed 'v', wherein the laser beam and the flux of powder are applied coaxially on the piece and the P/v ratio is within the range defined on the figure.

Process for resurfacing a monocrystalline or directionally solidified metallic piece

The invention relates to a device and method for controlling the operation of a thermal spray torch (). The inventive device and method are characterized in that an on-board camera () and pyrometer () are used to measure the properties of the jet () and the temperature of the deposit () on the part () and in that the correction to be made to supply parameters of the torch () is deduced. Furthermore, the invention is characterized in that the corrected parameters are sent to the cabinet () that controls the torch ().

The invention relates to a device and a method for control of the operation of a thermal projection torch (), characterized in that the characteristics of the jet () and the temperature of the deposit () on the piece () are measured by means of a camera () and a combined pyrometer (). The correction to be made to the supply parameters of the torch () are deduced therefrom and the corrected parameters are transmitted to the unit () controlling the torch ().
