A retention clip providing mechanical strain relief of a cable in a connector comprises two curved spring sections each having a free end and a base, the two curved spring sections separated from each other at their respective free ends by a cable insertion gap. A center section of the retention cable extends from the base of one of the two curved spring sections to the base of the other one of the two curved spring sections and includes a cable insertion opening. The cable insertion gap and the cable insertion opening are aligned providing a through-opening extending through the retention clip in a cable insertion direction, and each of the free ends has at least one discontinuity in a direction along its edge.

An electric wire connector connecting at least two wires includes a connector housing having a housing base and a housing cover, the housing base divided into at least two compartments, and at least two contact terminals each arranged in a different one of the at least two compartments. The at least two contact terminals are connected to one another by an electrically conductive member. The housing cover has a wire receiving opening receiving one of the at least two wires in an insertion direction. The housing cover is linearly movable relative to the housing base from an open position receiving the one of the at least two wires to a closed position terminating the one of the at least two wires.

The electric distribution circuit also has current limiting means in each of the output lines, wherein a current limit value is provided by the current limiting means to limit an output power at each of the output lines to an inherently safe value. A plurality of output connectors are connected to the output lines and to the reference potential line, wherein each of the output connectors are configured for outputting low DC voltage to a DC load.

An interface module comprises a base defining a planar sliding surface for a male contact element, a connector housing formed of an electrically insulating material and movably received in a receptacle of the base, a contact received in the connector housing and arranged above the planar sliding surface, and a spring disposed opposite the contact in a direction perpendicular to the sliding surface. The connector housing has an insertion opening adapted to receive the male contact element. The contact has a contact leg projecting below a planar supporting surface for the male contact element. The spring is adapted to elastically abut against an underside of the male contact element in an assembled state. The male contact element is received within the insertion opening of the connector housing and the contact leg abuts a contact surface on an upper side of the male contact element in the assembled state.

An insulation displacement contact device comprises a blade assembly and a biasing element. The blade assembly has a plurality of blades disposed opposite one another each with a cutting edge. The cutting edges of the blades terminate into a contact slot disposed between the blades. The blade assembly is disposed in the biasing element. The biasing element is movable with respect to the blade assembly along a moving direction parallel to the contact slot.

The present invention relates to a bushing for contacting a braid of a line within a connector, the bushing is essentially tapering in an insertion direction in which the bushing is adapted to be inserted into the braid in order to be encompassed thereby. Further, the invention relates to a connector comprising a bushing. In order to provide a bushing which allows for being inserted into the braid in a gentle manner and at the same time allows the braid to be evenly contacted with the bushing for establishing a reliable mechanical and/or electrical connection therewith, the present invention provides that the bushing has a radial elasticity allowing a spring tensioned widening and/or compression of the bushing.

An enclosure assembly for a terminating transmission line and electrical connector has a housing sub-assembly and a telescoping sub-assembly. The telescoping sub-assembly has a retained state where the telescoping sub-assembly is longitudinally fixed within the housing sub-assembly, and a retaining section with a minimum retaining position, and a maximum retaining position distanced from the minimum retaining position along a longitudinal direction of the enclosure assembly.

A connector for a cable has an outer housing, an inner housing at least partially received within the outer housing, a strain reliving attachment mechanism, and a rotational locking mechanism. The strain relieving attachment mechanism has an assembly path with an preliminary mating position and a final mating position. The rotational locking mechanism is engaged with the strain relieving attachment mechanism along the assembly path from a locking position located between the preliminary mating position and the final mating position. Further provided is a method of fastening at least one cable having a core, a reinforcement cover for protecting the core as well as an outer jacket, such as an optical fiber cable, at a cable carrier, such as the housing of a splitter.

The invention relates to an enclosure assembly for at least of a variety of in particular standardized connectors on a cable, such as RJ45, HDMI and others. The enclosure assembly has a connector volume located within an inner body of the enclosure assembly. The connector volume is adapted to moveably accommodate the connector. The inner body is open to an outer environment and a forward and a rearward end. The enclosure assembly further includes an outer body adapted to slide over the inner body in a forward direction. The outer body is provided with at least one locking element for securing the enclosure assembly to a mating enclosure. As a further improvement to the known connector assemblies, the connector volume is located within an electromagnetic shielding structure and the electromagnetic shielding structure is located within the inner body. According to a further embodiment, the electromagnetic shielding structure comprises a fixed shielding substructure and a moveable shielding substructure, which may be automatically connected to each other upon movement of the inner body in the forward direction.
