Continuously adjustable hinge, such as employed for automotive vehicle recliner seat back, wherein a toothed sector on one hinge element is retained by a toothed pawl on the other which has freedom of mounting connection at least equal to the pitch of one tooth in order to accommodate full tooth engagement for any continuously variable relative position of the sector. A pair of pivotally anchored cam elements engage angularly related cam surfaces on the pawl after its full tooth engagement with the sector. Variable travel of cam surface to accommodate fully engaged prepositioned pawl with self-locking angle resisting pawl displacement in either angular direction from sector tooth pressure, is sufficient to accommodate at least one tooth displacement of the pawl in order to lock the pawl in any position of initial full tooth engagement.

A load bracing bar frictionally supported between partitions to restrain cargo movement comprising an elongated bar consisting of telescopingly interconnected portions. An elongated tooth track is homogeneously defined in one of the bar portions of the material thereof, and a lever and dog device mounted upon the other bar portion selectively engages the teeth of the track to extend the bar portions longitudinally upon lever action. The lever is pivotal to a position which retracts the dog from the tooth track for retracting the bar portions, and a spring biased detent on the lever positively locks the lever and bar in the extended condition.

Adjustable load bracing bar

The invention pertains to an automatic brake slack adjuster wherein incremental vehicle brake adjustments are automatically produced as brake lining wear occurs. The novel features include the simplification of structure, the provision of preadjustment including a drive gear which is automatically disengaged from a worm gear upon the placing of a wrench upon an adjustment shaft to simplify preadjustment, and a universal bracket is utilized permitting the adjuster to be readily employed with a wide variety of vehicle brake rod structures eliminating the need for special fittings and modifications.

Automatic brake slack adjuster

A conduit assembly for natural gas lines utilized at transition locations wherein a synthetic plastic gas supply tube connects to a meter or other fitting located above the ground level. The lead-in assembly utilizes a fitting having a rigid elongated nipple to which a polyethylene tube is sealed by means of a crimped socket; and a convoluted metal hose attached at one end to the fitting, and sealed at the other end to the polyethylene tube, encompasses the nipple and tube providing effective protection thereof, yet permits the assembly to be readily bent and formed by hand without kinking of the tube.
