Specific siloxanes, compositions containing these specific siloxanes, and processes for preparation thereof, are useful for treatment of fabrics, in cleaning and care formulations for the household and for industrial purposes, and in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and dermatological compositions, especially in cosmetic cleansing and care formulations, hair treatment products and hair aftertreatment products, and for cleaning and care of hard surfaces, preferably for cleaning and care of motor vehicles, especially as additive in drying aids for carwash facilities.

Siloxanes for treating textiles and for use in cleaning and care formulations

A process can be used for preparing polyether-modified polybutadienes. The process involves reacting at least one polybutadiene (A) with at least one epoxidizing reagent (B) to give at least one epoxy-functional polybutadiene (C). The at least one epoxy-functional polybutadiene (C) is then reacted with at least one hydroxy-functional compound (D) to give at least one hydroxy-functional polybutadiene (E). The at least one hydroxy-functional polybutadiene (E) is finally reacted with at least one epoxy-functional compound (F) to give at least one polyether-modified polybutadiene (G).

Equilibrated trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-acidified &#x3b1;,&#x3c9;-diacetoxypolydimethylsiloxanes, processes for the production thereof and SiOC-bonded, linear polydimethylsiloxane-polyoxyalkylene block copolymers of the structure type ABA and a process for the production thereof are described, wherein the production of SiOC-bonded, linear polydimethylsiloxane-polyoxyalkylene block copolymers of the structure type ABA is effected by reacting trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-acidified acetoxysiloxane with polyetherols optionally in the presence of bases and optionally in the presence of an inert solvent.

Described is a process for producing preferably trifluoromethanesulfonic acid-acidified, end-equilibrated, acetoxy-bearing siloxanes which comprises reacting cyclic siloxanes, in particular comprising Dand/or D, and/or cyclic branched siloxanes of the D/T type with acetic anhydride using preferably trifluoromethanesulfonic acid as catalyst and with addition of acetic acid, wherein the cyclic branched siloxanes of the D/T type are mixtures of cyclic branched siloxanes of the D/T type which contain not only siloxanes comprising D and T units but also siloxanes comprising Q units.
