In a sales area, a method for checking the layout of articles in a gondola, the gondola comprising at least one electronic shelf label which corresponds to a matching area of a gondola, with a single product slot field comprising a gondola number, a row number and a shelf label number, the method comprising steps of: acquisition of an image of the gondola; automated detection of electronic shelf labels, and automated detection of rows; for at least one electronic shelf label, determination of the matching area of the gondola, and determination of the slot field; detection of layout information in said area of the gondola in the acquired image; identification of the associated article identifier in a realogram database; and check of compliance of detected layout information, with respect to expected layout information stored in the realogram database.

Camera-implemented article layout control method for shelves equipped with electronic shelf labels

The invention concerns a method for updating association data between articles in a retail area and locations of said retail area, said method comprising the steps according to which, &#x2014;a reading device acquires a sequence of tag identifiers comprising at least two tag identifiers of which the electronic shelf tags are adjacent, one of said adjacent electronic shelf tags being said electronic shelf tag to be located, and another of said adjacent electronic shelf tags being an electronic shelf tag of which the location is known, the reading device transmits the sequence of identifiers to a computer system that updates the association data from the sequence of tag identifiers, by determining: the articles associated with the tags of the sequence of tags, the respective locations of said articles from the order of the tags in the sequence of tags.

Method for updating association data between articles and locations

A method for communicating data representing spatially organized information, performed by a central server RF-frequency peripherals with locations within a predetermined area, each location being defined by a vertical and horizontal position within a plane perpendicular to a floor of the predetermined area, each location being associated with a corresponding unique identifier. The method may involve receiving a communication from a mobile terminal including a unique identifier received by the mobile terminal from an RF peripheral located in the predetermined area, determining a location of the mobile terminal within the predetermined area based on the location associated with the unique identifier, and transmitting to the mobile terminal spatially localized information associated with the location. The unique identifier may be particular to an RF peripheral including an antenna and an electronic chip configured for NFC to be activated by the mobile terminal when the peripheral is within a communication range.

The invention relates to a method for communicating data representative of information associated with a radio frequency peripheral to a mobile terminal, comprising the following steps: &#x2014;the mobile terminal acquires a radio frequency peripheral identifier, &#x2014;the mobile terminal emits a primary request comprising first characteristic information derived from said radio frequency peripheral identifier to a primary server, &#x2014;the mobile terminal receives sign information associated with said first characteristic information from the primary server in response to the primary request, &#x2014;the mobile terminal emits a secondary request comprising second characteristic information derived from said radio frequency peripheral identifier to a secondary server, &#x2014;the mobile terminal receives data representative of information associated with said radio frequency peripheral from the secondary server in response to the secondary request.
