A circuit device includes a directional coupler with a first port receiving a radiofrequency signal, a second port outputting a signal in response to signal received by the first port, and a third port outputting a signal in response to a reflection of the signal at the second port. An impedance matching network is connected between the second port and an antenna. The impedance matching network includes fixed inductive and capacitive components and a single variable inductive or capacitive component. A diode coupled to the third port of the coupler generates a voltage at a measurement terminal which is processed in order to select and set the inductance or capacitance value of the variable inductive or capacitive component.

Impedance matching

A distributed-line directional coupler including: a first conductive line between first and second ports intended to convey a signal to be transmitted; and a second conductive line, coupled to the first one, between third and fourth ports, the second line being interrupted approximately at its middle, the two intermediary ends being connected to attenuators.

Integrated bidirectional coupler

A directional dual distributed coupler including: a first conductive line between first and second ports, intended to convey a signal to be transmitted in a first frequency band; a second conductive line coupled to the first one; a third conductive line between third and fourth ports, intended to convey a signal to be transmitted in a greater frequency band than the first one; a fourth conductive line coupled to the third one; and at least one diplexer connecting, on the side of the second and fourth ports, the respective ends of the second and fourth lines to a fifth port.

Selectivity of a dual coupler

A method and a device for determining the amplitude and the phase of an impedance connected on a transmission line, including a bidirectional coupler having a first line interposed on the transmission line and having a second line providing at its respective ends two measurement signals, and a balun having its respective differential-mode inputs receiving data representative of the measurement signals.

Detection of the value of an impedance of a radiofrequency system

A method and circuit for evaluating a charge impedance at the output of a directional coupling having a first line adapted to convey a desired signal between a first terminal and a second terminal adapted to be connected to an antenna, and having a second line coupled to the first one including a third terminal on the side of the first terminal and a fourth terminal on the side of the second terminal, wherein the signal present on the fourth terminal is submitted to a homodyne detector having its local oscillator signal sampled from the third terminal.

Circuit integrating a tunable antenna with a standing wave rate correction

A coupler including: a first conductive line intended to convey a signal to be transmitted between first and second terminals; a second conductive line, coupled to the first one and having one end intended to provide, on a third terminal, data relative to a signal reflected on the second terminal; and an inductive and/or capacitive impedance matching circuit, interposed between the other end of the second line and a fourth terminal of the coupler.

Integrated directional coupler

A non-directional coupler including a semiconductor junction in series with a capacitor, the semiconductor junction being formed so that the threshold frequency short of which it behaves as a rectifier is smaller than the coupler's operating frequency.

Integrated coupler

A directional coupler having a first structure with distributed lines having a first conductive line intended to convey a main signal between two end terminals and having a second conductive line, coupled to the first one, intended to convey a secondary signal proportional to the main signal; and a second structure with local elements including, between a first terminal of the coupler intended to extract the secondary signal and a first end of the second line, two attenuators in series between which is interposed a low-pass filter and, between a second terminal of the coupler and the second end of the second line, at least one attenuator.

Wide-band directional coupler

A distributed combiner/splitter having a first line formed of a first planar winding in a first conductive level and of a second planar winding in a second conductive level, and a second line formed of a third planar winding interdigited with the first winding in the first level, and of a fourth planar winding interdigited with the second winding in the second level, the windings having an increasing width from the outside to the inside.

A distributed phase shifter including: a first planar winding having its ends defining accesses in phase opposition; a second planar winding coupled with the first one and grounded by a first capacitive element; a third planar winding in a conductive level different from that receiving the first winding and electrically in series with the second winding; and a fourth planar winding, coupled with the third one in a conductive level different from that receiving the second winding, first ends of the third and fourth windings being connected by a capacitive element and their second ends being connected by another capacitive element, their first and second respective ends defining accesses in phase quadrature.

Integrated phase shifter of differential signals in quadrature

A coupler of distributed type including a first conductive line carrying a main signal between two end terminals, a second conductive line coupled to the first one and between two terminals of which flows a sampled signal, proportional to the main signal, and two capacitors respectively connecting the two terminals of each of the lines.
